Hello I have a 9 year old hen and found this forum when searching for info on my sick hen. Myself and my family have had budgies all our lives and love the joy and companionship they offer. I have been looking at this site today and i am very impressed at the support and friendships here...and of course the budgies are all beautiful! Cheers

Hello everyone, I have joined here today feeling very sad after returning home from the vet with my nearly 9 year old hen named Tilly. She has a parasite causing a stomach upset and a tumor on her bottom. I called into a local vet pretty certain that she has a tumor, and knowing that at her age not much can be done, but wanted medicine for her stomach upset that started yesterday. They insisted on me going home and getting her,so i did, the vet confirmed that she has a tumor and recommend a medicine for the upset stomach. The trip left her quite shaken and myself in tears. I am trying to do the best for Tilly and unsure of how long she will live or what to expect with this tumor. Any advice will be appreciated at this very sad time. Thankyou
