Weird Sleeping Behaviour
Hi all, just wondering if what my 7-8 week old baby budgie Pebbles does is normal?? She sits on her perch at night, lifting the two front toes on each foot in turn (left, right, left, right etc. every couple of seconds) as she sleeps. It also ricochets throught the aviary, as there is no other noise at the time, and i think it may be disturbing my 9-month old cock Duke. During the daytime she is her usual active self, playing with the mirror, biting Maverick's tail and all Sorry i should probably put this in another topic but ive just put the baby budgies in the aviary a few days ago, they seem to be settling in fine, but my 9 month old Duke seems to be afraid of both of them :S whenever one comes up to him, he runs off like mad. And when hes cornered by both of them he tries to fly off, but because he cant fly he falls to the bottom of the aviary. Why is he so afraid?? Thanks in advance

Pebbles :)
my new baby "pebbles". any ideas what she might be? im thinking either recessive pied or df dominant pied, possibly with clearflight/greywing  but i think she's just a recessive pied. thanks in advance

Nearly Lost Em... Twice!
yeah i was so traumatised. they are only 5 weeks so they are quite small! my cage probably has larger bar width :S so i'll be putting them in the aviary with my other birds ASAP

Nearly Lost Em... Twice!
haha two of the cage bars were bent outward a little bit for some reason, and because they were tiny they could just fit straight through the bars i was so lucky to not have lost either of them!

Nearly Lost Em... Twice!
Well this morning I was checking on my two baby budgies, when I decided to hang them next to the aviary so they could get used to being in the vicinity of other birds. The next minute I look back at them and I see a small bird zoom straight past my face into one of our bushes! So I looked into the bushes to find one of the babies in there. Lucky. About ten minutes later I'm in my aviary, checking on Duke and Skipper, when I look back, I see the other budgie sitting on my mum's SHOULDER. I could not believe my eyes! Two extremely close calls within half an hour!

Recessive Or Dom Pied?
This is in response to melbournebudgies' post on my last topic. These are pictures of my budgie hen skipper... before i joined the forum i thought she was a recessive pied, but after learning more on budgie mutations, and now with backup from posts on my forum, i am unsure whether she is a recessive pied or a dominant pied. I'm sorry I couldn't get any better photos, she is an evil hen and she bites HARD P.S. I know that breeding quality hens are supposed to have a crusty brown cere, but is that ^^^ natural?
