The blinds from bunizzing are good! i got my first blind from there and for my 2nd avairy i got the same size blind for real cheap at the year before boxing day sales at SPOT LIGHT. easy to roll up and down, lets the light in, and stops the wind and rain. Jarryd

Hi everyone, i was looking at getting some brand new 4 tier wire bird cage stands, they are $55 each! does that sound like a good price??? i dont no the prices that they normally go for so it would be great to find out if its a good price. they are for my 61cm x 41cm x 41cm wire cages, cheers Jarryd
  7. Hi Daz. Theres no spot to attach them, so il either just make those holding cages, or i can leave them empty, then when i have fledgings i can open up the partian creating more room. Or i could attach a differnet cage front with a spot to attach the box to the front of the cage.
  8. Nest Boxes can be attached on the sides of the unit. il have to do some research on the paint. Jarryd
  9. I brought the 6 Cage Breeding Cabinet. for $90. Il be picking it up on sat arvo. i need to get a trailer from work. What do you guys think? Good Buy? I am thinking of painting the inside White. Will this then catch more light in the cabinets having white inside?? Can anyone suggest a Paint, that would seal the wood and make it easy to wipe poo off the walls etc??? thanks Jarryd

HAHA Lloyd's going alright The Blind is pretty much rolled up the whole time during summer unless its Peeing Down Rain. is that plastic, that you can pull down? If so where did you get it from? or did you make it yourself?Yes it Rolls up and Down. i purchased it from Bunnings. its an Outdoor Blind and i got it in Clear. Works Wonders preventing Drafts etc.

Aviary i have at the moment, it is 8 ft Long, 8 ft High and 4 ft Wide. it used to be a Cockatoo Cage, that belonged to my Pop, but he gave the aviary to us, so we could keep birds in it. We put on all the sheet metal, painted the wire black, made the safety door, put Brick/Concrete for the flooring and also brought a Outdoor Blind to use in Winter to prevent Drafts. For a First Aviary my father and i were very happy with the end result, since befor this we had no real clue on how to build a avairy. We are now in the process of building a 2nd Aviary from Scratch. We are modeling this 2nd aviary on our original Aviary, the dimesions will be 8 ft Long, 8 ft High and 5 ft Wide. We have been lucky enough to accuire alot of the building material for free. We have Bricks for the Floor. Sheet metal for all the inclosed sides and roof. and the frame will be made out of Hard Wood which we have a whole pile of. i would perfer Steel tubing. but we got the Hard Wood for free and in a large quantitie. Below is the Site of the new Aviary. the hose will be moved and plants also moved we will be bringing the sleeper out abit and having the aviary as close to the fence as possible, the safety door will be behind the tree you see on the right. We started work on the Aviary appox 3 days ago, cutting the Wood for the frame. Once that was done we started building the frame starting with the side walls which were 5 ft wide by 8ft high. once we made both of them we started joining it all together. Pictured Below is the Frame, still have some more work to do!!! Its lying down with the front of the aviary on the grass. Aviary Frame is now standing ( oldman posing for the camera lol) http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h7/undoredo/13112008-1.jpg Pictured below is the roof supports and the levels of wood that will allow the rain to run down on to the grass. http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h7/undoredo/15112008.jpg We then put in the frame for the door its about 6 ft 3 high and just under 2ft wide. Needs to fit me in and the vacuum cleaner. http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h7/undor...15112008004.jpg Cleared the Garden out and started leveling the ground, took out the sleeper and started trimming the tree so it could fit in. then we moved the aviary closer to its spot, so while its not to heavy we can put the tin on and now only have to move it alittle further into place http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h7/undor...16112008004.jpg We basically cut all the tin today for all the sides and roof, only thing we need to cut is the door. http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h7/undor...16112008006.jpg Painting the Frame, same colour as our Varandah. that is it for the moment, hoping to do a fair bit more work on it during the week. Just thought id like to share JARRYD
