  1. THK I have the perfect cage for you already. I updated my pretage travel cage but the old one will be good for what you want.
  2. So long as the club has an AOV or (in our case) an NSV/NSC (non standard varitey/non standard colour). And although I've never seen such a class NOT offered I believe that it's not compulsary for a show to have this class - well not here anyway. And in WA a bird judged in NSV/NSC cannot go up for major awards anyway. Is that the same in SQ Daz? Or can a non standard variety bird win a best in show or best colour award in SQ? Clearwings are rarely considered good enough to go against a normal. Same as some other recessive varieties. I am hoping to get a Darkeyed Clear good enough to give a normal a fright.
  3. Every bird can be judged. If there isn't a spot in th ematrix it would then be under AOV - Non Standardised.
  4. I see many Wrong Classes in the Novice section. I believe that the clubs are letting the novices down in not giving them the information they need to confidently commence their time in this great hobbie. They are having trouble with the basics. Is it a cock or hen. What age can I show the irds and in what section. What the difference is between Young Birds and Nestfeathers. When can I show a current year rung bird as a young bird. I have gotten wrong classed on the last one. No one informed me untill the judge wrong classed the bird. I didn't know why till I asked the judge. Bit late then.

  6. SQ as a whole. SQBBA SHOW STANDARD SQBBA SHOW RULES
  7. Only in the Leather and Laundry Industries where they have a constant flow of water. The flow of water in the aviary will depend on the intake from the birds which will differ depending on climate changes.
  8. Half your luck Gina... I have traced mine back to two possible birds.
  9. Double it in SQ. Class 1 is LG Cocks Class 2 is LG hens Class 3 is DG or Olive Cocks Class 4 is DG or Olive Hens And so on. Up to Class 48 AOV & Non Standardised Hens.
  10. I just put a piece of newspaper on the tray. Some hens chew it up but I replace it weekly.

  15. Gina you could look at the next step up and add a small dosing pump. They are a bit like a small fountain pump that delivers medication directly into the line at a set rate. It might give your credit card more of a thrashing..

Click to Enlarge I would like to thank a very special Person Camelle for doing a portrat of a very special Bird. After Winning Champion Young Bird of Show in 2006 and goingon to win at many shows, I named him "Sir". He passed a way nearly 12 months ago. Camelle did me the honour of painting his portrat from Photos I had. The painting is now very dear to me.
