  1. its amazing the differences a show cage can do for a good bird hay why you should always cull from your show cages not from perch in aviary or holding cage could tell he was nice shannon but can see he is now  if that makes cents
  2. thats k if u get stuck let me know its amazing how fast post can be
  3. your very welcome although im no expert
  4. no i got mine online from America then found out it comes from gelong lol but still only 15 dollars a jar took three days the vet should have it mabe pet shop if a good one but a vet most prob lol really defeats purpose of not going but then again wont cost its names vetafarm probotic got a number on bottle and address if you want to contact me i can give its in wagga wagga nsw i could send you some express post  overnight delivery and lamp well i have never used a lamp to tell truth i have a room i just keep heater on in and temperature gadget thinggy make sure it stays around 30 32 degree my birds always pick up just have plenty of water at easy assess i even tend to drop a drip in mouth every half hour for really sick birds as its the dehydration mostly that gets them i dont squeeze it down just roll it in off top of beak
  5. okay i will get some more pics tomorrow for you and thanks some to compare to would be good i had to choose the two hardest mutations to breed lol when it comes to precision of characteristics specially when they can cross over this is why im also breeding cinnamon so i can use anything from either lacewing or albino breeding to archive norm cinnamon's if they good but not for either of the albino or lacewing lines  im not going to be breeding spangle into them just was seeing his firtility with a known good hen next time i have a nice big grey green cinnamon hen for him ready for after summer :bump:
  6. try a pro biotic as the medicatiuon may had a effect on him thats what i would do also i would listen to see if hes wezzing he may have air sack might and if he is gagging it could be milled cause of yeast infection hence the probiotics and need of im not really sure as i cant see him try gentally squizing the air out his crop if its just air he may be sucking this in himself i know it sounds weird but i have known a few male budgies to do this when i asked their breeder about it they just said its just something some cocks do when trying to impress their hen although i never have had it in my flock so... but try pro biotic in water it cant do anything but good for him
  7. :fear thats so funny lol i loved it

  10. :bump: up for nubbly 5  what you think ?
  11. if it has violet cheak patches like a spangle type with silvery white also its lacewing so im to belive i did think i knew but im very lost of late as all my albinos also changing to lacewings and lacewings throughin out lutes lol man its just my luck well its all good lucky im going to try breed both if i can actually get my head around them when younger they can take to two years to mature
  12. are they what wow id be happy with some them cocks

  14. oh my im very jellous of your yf hen skyblue splat you ever cull another one like that please please please can i buy her or him lol :party0011:
  15. well thats why they took birds down the in the coal mines so if their was a gas leak they could get out fast not very nice to sacrifice a bird but saved lives they used canary's specifically
  16. YOU REALLY ARE DOING A FANTASTIC JOB DAVE sorry caps were one m i especially like your spangle chicks the little cinn grey in the albino nest looks on my screen sky blue very pale but then my com is extinct along with the monitor lol all looking good at wattle flights
  17. COULD YOU GET PICS OF DAD AND MUM AND PLEASE CAN YOU DO A UNDER WING SHOT OF DAD AND A TAIL SHOT OF HIM THE BABYS UNDERBELLY'S AND TAILS AND HEAD SHOT I KNOW THATS A LOT BUT I JUST WANT TO BE SURE OF SOMETHING HERE
  18. i was not serious shannon we all have good well thoughts for our birds i was just refering to the fact that in my small time breeding show birds the ones i really want something most from so far twice rounds have been sadly lost now i wait till next year for them and hope they dont get fright at night again its good to have high hopes for your birds its how you ended up with that stunning hen and so many other lovley birds you have breed
  19. thats fantastic kaz and to think are they all this years birds 09 i mean remembering o10 ring came in thats alot of babys (gb goes gets out local shed and aviary builders brochure as may need new flight for birds breed ) lol
  20. Wow that's fascinating! How do you know this, from breeding experience or from something you've read? first i read it i have it here some where i will look for it but then over years i put the information i read to trial and its true to a point when i say a point 90 percent out of 100 the article was correct mind you since i read it i have only brought hens with deep colour in wings and body as wings meliniom and body maliom is held in diffront positionsone the one bird this goes for all birds so ... it just makes sence to buy stock with deep colour depth in wings and body i will try find it to share as it was very interesting and true in my experience now a few gens of bubs all my cinnamons are of deep body and wing colour
  21. Oh, no,no,no - Definitely an Albino! The camera's fine I'm just cr*p at taking photos! This guy is amazing but I can't do him justice .... c'est la vie. i can join you their renee i take **** loads sometimes and end up keeping none birds dont stay still so much lol babys not so bad they sit pretty but older birds grrrrrr lol not happening  and i got 2 cams lol its not the cam its me i shake to much
  22. thank you im quiet proud of me seems being picky has payed off  okay other two chicks as promised from grey greenspilt-/lacewing x grey spangle hen blue spangle cock this is smallest in clutch and probbly to be culled pos split lacewing so... dont really want spangle lacewings and hes small well not really but compaired too the others he is may keep if he develops in the 6 months for my spangle line will see okay lucky last a very big grey green cock bird spangle this chick is the last out of 9 eggs why hes younger others were fostered out but birds got night fright and went off nest so but i got 3 chicks im happy this is another possable chick of theirs  this ones got me stumped as im not sure if its theirs or my lacewing (which i thought at time was a albino )x the grey split-/cinnamonsplit-/opalines either way its either lacewing split or its not if its not its their chick for sure if it is well it still could be theirs or the other pairs so .....im pretty sure it is as i placed in three eggs with hope after being left go cold for hour or two all eggs lived and would have hatched but i thought they were dead in shell but no they werent so i left all other eggs in box after that and he hatched take a look will get better pics when not hobbling(due to my leg ingerd ) so much lol
  23. Well Kaz my dearest you don't drink AND you have a much better head for genetics than I .... but yes, I can see our brave lecturers being driven to drink ... I will endeavor to provide "quality" alcohol so the hang over isn't too severe! Me, not drink ??!! This is not true. I just dont drink and drive. There is a difference I am a VODKA girl when I drink  I am a VODKA girl when I drink lol me too go the vodka :celebrate:im with you im night owl on same contanent but always late night posts lol i agree with the sinister emo lol hay guys could i join in via cam (lol just jokes but mabe a vid should be made we could then purchus it throw mail a burnt copy of oridganal i would buy one
  24. okay this is going to sound probbly not how its ment but here i will give it a go just remember i know what i mean in hens lets take a cinnamon hen as an example if you breed a cinnamon hen with light cinnamon in her wing melinom to a dark winged cinnamon cock then you will most probbly get darker winged cocks in nest than hens as hens although not sexlinked do have this thing where the strength of colour is passed on more so from them then the cock im not talking body colour as in blue green grey what not im talking strength of feather deepth of colour so all her hens may just be lighter marked than the sons from this pairing but put a deeply coloured cinn her to a lightly coloured cinn cock well rezults normally 100 percent darkly marked cinn chicks i dont exactllyu know what this is called but it is inhereted better from hens than cocks mabe someone else knows exactly what im trying to say and can go farther with a more understandable explanation of what im trying to say
  25. well id be thinking the same mate  question is he albino or lacewing im sorry to ask but as picture is blurry he seems to have cinnamon id love to see a better shot could you get a full body one with out blurr please im sure hes albino but ??? picture shadowing as blurry i cant be positive
