  1. Hey Everyone, Sorry i have not been on in a couple of days and i'm yet to add the pics for you to see. I am raising 5 baby ringnecks,so i have been very busy and tired, lol Anyways to update you all on the budgie babies,i now agree with those who have said they might be cinnamon.(i guess i just haven't noticed it before) so far the oldest baby who's pin wing feathers have just opened are brown(cinnamon) but for the first time the colour is a pale grey(yeah), as i have said before my cinnamons have always been light blue. so to get a grey this time is great.plus after all these years i have never seen one before. as soon as it it showing it's colour abit more i'll post the pics to show you all. Question???? Not knowing i have always sold them for $10ea(not HandRaised) ,should i be charging more for the cinnamons????????? Cheers
  2. I will ad some pics tonight, but thanks so far
  3. Lol, i know I think i'm more excited, i have never bred or even seen the cinnamons for sale before, and now with the whole eye colour it's getting better.funny considering i was going to give them away and get a few other colours etc.
  4. Hey everyone, I've been breeding budgies for years and this is the first time i have ever seen it. after a few years break, i started to breed a pair of budgies i had bought, the male is a Dark Grey spangle and the hen is a skyblue opaline. over the last 18 months they have had 4 clutches ,always hatching and raising all eggs/babies perfectly which is usually 5 but this time they have 6. But something odd has been occurring with this nest, 2 out of the 6 babies where born with Albino eyes(and i do know the difference incase your wondering)but some of there skin colour has gone dark with there wings showing a light pin feather. Does anyone know why? the only idea i have is it could be a fallow, but the eye seems to have turned to more dark as it gets older. They normally produce normal greys and blues(different shades)(always males) Spangle blues and greys(both male and females) Pale blue Cinnamons(always female) I kept a Cinnamon baby from there first nest and would like to pair her up, What would be a great colour mutation to put with her? i was thinking a yellow faced bird(like the rainbows) or a pied bird to try and create cinnamon pieds. Hope you can help solve my mystery and help create an even better cinnamon bird. steve
