Younger Budgie With Older Budgie
I think I have the chance to leave her to my parent's house and to keep only 1 budgie, Clyde. I don't know, I have to think about it...I feel sorry for her But I wanted a pet budgie and nobody told me i had to buy 1 bird only... Will they miss each other?

Younger Budgie With Older Budgie
Clyde is doing well out of the cage...He steps on my finger (only with food) and isn't afraid of my hand at all. But she is very afraid of my hands...and I wonder if her behaviour has any effect on him. Do you a should separate them? What if the call for each other? Can I tame him anyway?

Younger Budgie With Older Budgie
I got Bonnie & Clyde in a pet shop and in didn't know anything about budgies at the time, so I chose by sex and colours...and think I picked up a little boy with an old grandma... Do you think the younger one can feel confortable? I'm asking because it seems like if Clyde (the younger one) always has to ask for her permission to do anything (eating, drinking, stepping up ecc...) and since i started hand taming him, he semms like to avoid her. She often bites him... I started training him out of the cage, but with Bonnie, I hardly can get near her... Do you think her behaviour can make him feel insicure or separate him from me? Clyde step ups only if he sees food in my hand...he will ignore my finger if the hand is empty. Is this okay?

Back To The Cage
I put a perch under the open door, so it looks like a "landing platform", you know. The problem is time...I know he'll go back home sooner or later, but when???

Back To The Cage
Yes, it seems to work... But my question was if it is possible that he doesn't know where the door is, or he doesn't see it... Or maybe he wants to stay out of the cage

Back To The Cage
Last sunday I started to work with Clyde out of his cage. I took him in a bird-proof room and left his cage in the other room. Everything seems to work, slowly but okay. The problem is getting his back to his cage. When I take him near the cage's door while sitting on my finger, he jumps off and starts to climb the cage to get on top. I don't know if he doesn't want to go home or if he can't find the door yet. Waht i did is covering the cage leaving the door space free...it works... Bonnie (his mate) is inside the cage calling for him... Any suggestion?

Little Toy
okay, i'll'try hanging the ball. Thank you for your advice. But they are scared by this ball...even if they see it in my hands outside of the cage.

Bonnie and Clyde
It's impossible doing this with Bonnie. She's too scared. Maybe too old...

Little Toy
Yesterday I tried to put a new toy inside Bonny & Clyde's cage. It's a cat toy, a little yellow/pink ball with a little bell in it. I put it on the cage's floor e they started to fly all over the cage, so scared!!!!! I don't know why they just don't want to see it. Maybe because of the colour (often in nature dangerous things have brilliant colours) or maybe because of the noise inside the ball. I have to find something else, but i do i catch their attention to play with the toy? Bye Max

Holiday
Hi, just wanted to ask for an advice here. I travel for 1 week in august and i think I'm going to leave my 2 budgies at home alone. I'll give them food enough for 1 week and a friend is going to give them fresh water every day or two. But I am worried about the mess in the cage... Do you think they will have any kind of problem? Thank you Bye
