  4. Hi, i have just about always had budgies around for as long as i can remember but have not breed them in quite a few years, had a pair who seemed to be very close so decided to let them have a go which a am happy to say was successful, but now all of this has led me to a problem i do not remember coming across last time i bred birds. my two babies are looking really good the oldest has left the nest about 3 days ago and the youngest which is 4 days off 6 weeks old is just starting to go out but likes to go back in at night and through the day a little and is also still being fed by dad. Now heres the problem mum laid an egg this morning and i had planned to take the nest away as soon as little grey left the nest to let mum rest and make sure she doesnt overdo anything. so my question is basically can i take the nest away from little grey to stop mum laying or am i better off trying to find alternative livingarrangements for mum??
