Thank you all for welcome,pretty sure it is splayed legs as it looks like the ones in photos,but the bottem of the nest box is smoth so I put some rolled oats in there but mum keeps throwing everthing out from near the babies.I will post some pics of baby in couple of days as just been down to Doctors and had to have an ingrown toe nail removed so am off my feet for a couple of days and can't get out to take pics. thanks again Linda

Hi i'n new here i have been reading this site and have found it very helpful..I have 2 babies at the moment and one of them has splayed legs just read in faqs of how to try and fix it so off out to buy some sponges and give it a go.will let you now how things go.oh the babies are 8,9 days old. Linda
