Hi All
Hi, Time, effort, affection gentle hands and she will get used to you. Generally speaking its true that males will bond and make better talkers, but hens can as well if you spend the time. Females do tend to get a bit cranky and bite harder it can be very tricky keeping a female happy. (I am talking about budgies). Good luck

Some Of The New Guys N Gals
Hi, You are lucky to have access to such a breeder, who had 50 birds of that quality for sale. Good luck with them in the breeding cages!

Woohoo! Yayyyyy! Yipee!
Congtratulations! He is a good looking boy and with the yellow face of the hen you may get some real nice chicks. And it isnt even spring yet. Who knows this dud could turn into a real stud and give you another round of chicks! Anyway good luck!

Hi All
Thanks again everybody. Another thing I must say is there are so many creative signatures. Can I ask for some guidance on how you create them, in particular how you have "cut and pasted and collated" your photos.?

Breeding Cages
Hi, I think, Pair 1 Normal light green cock and Opaline Spangle light green hen Chicks may be Normal light green hens or Normal spangle hens or Normal light green cocks/split for opaline or Spangle light green cocks/split for opaline. Unless the cock is already split for opaline in which case you could get opaline hens or opaline cocks. Or unless the cock is split for cinnamon in which case you might add cinnamon to the above outcomes. Or unless the cock and hen are split for blue in which case you could substitute sky blue for the light green outcomes. Pair 2 Opaline light green cock and Opaline Spangle light green hen. Chicks should all be opaline light green with half of them being opaline spangle light green. Unless as above. Its a bit of wait and see ! Good luck

Unknown Cause
Sorry to hear about your losses. It can be very dissapointing and frustrating. Were they new birds? Do you know how old the hens were? Had they bred before? Were the nest boxes new or clean had you cleaned them with any chemicals? Were there any signs of dirty vent, or brown nasal discharge? Were they overweight or thin, did their rib cage feel very boney? Do the cocks they were paired to seem okay?

Hi All
Hi, I have been breeding for just over two years now, and have found the internet as a great source of information. I am constantly googling Budgerigar topics. Quite often I found this website forum came up with answers to my questions, and so I have read many topics held here. It is obvious that the mix of members and their experience is wide and varied. But the common thread is our keen interest in Budgies. Any way, so I decided to register and look forward to the opportunity to ask and answer questions and just generally throw my 2cents worth in. I am still learning to navigate through this site and its features but thought it was time for my first post. So thanks for the opportunity and congratulations to the site for being the best Australian based forum that I could find, and that is a reflection on the members as its only as good as the members and their discussions. Regards JSAM
