Yes i only check them twice a day maximum and change seed and water etc aswell another egg today so the count is at four

UPDATE Well the pair that had the egg are now on three and i am expecting another one tomorrow. I am expecting eggs soon from the other two pairs that are in the breeding cages at the moment

I wasnt expecting the first egg for a couple of days because it had only been exactly 7 days since I put them in the breeding cages

Well I am soo excited because when I did my daily check of the cages and nest boxes there was an egg in the pet types nest box My first ever egg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully the first of many :bluebudgie:

I bought this breeding pair of budgies and the male is a sky blue normal and female is grey normal and the babys that they had were albinos and grey recessive pieds Just wondering how this works?

I have tried mixing pellets in with seed but they just skip the pellets and eat the seed. and i put vegies in a little bowl on the floor but they dont go near it

kool thanks the other pair isnt interested in the nest box but i bought it off a breeder and they had just raised a clutch for him so i will try them again in a couple of months

okay raised off the ground thats all the news so far ohh by the way the hen is still spending a lot of time in the nest box but not as much as it did at the start ????

yes Neat some of my birds had one of there parents as a pet type and 1 as a show budgie(I said show budgie to make you happy KAZ)

There are 11 all up 2 are full english, 3 have english bloodlines and 6 are the pet type Here they are BREEDING PAIR SKY BLUE IS FULL ENGLISH AND GREEN HAS ENGLISH BLOODLINES BUDGIES IN TOP TWO CAGES ARE PET TYPE AND THE MIDDLE ROW ARE TWO HENS WITH ENGLISH BLOODLINES TWO PET TYPE YOUNGSTERS CLOSE UP OF TWO HENS WITH ENGLISH BLOODLINES THATS ALL I HAVE I am missing an English Normal Green photo and a close up of the 2nd pet type breeding pair

I will raise it off the ground this is another shot of the breeding cages and a pair that have been spending a lot of time in the nest box. CAGES BREEDING PAIR AND ENGLISH BUDGIES I WILL PAIR WITH MY BIRDS AFTER QUARENTINE

I have not put any of his birds with mine yet but i was only going to quarantine them for 2 weeks but luckily they are 5 metres away so thanks guysoh yer and i was looking at this site http://www.budgieplace.com/breeding.html and it says that a iodine salt spool is recommended. well i was just wondering if any1 new what this does and if anyone uses this when breeding..Thanks

Got a free breeding cabinet off of and ex breeder that was very dirty!!!!! Spent about 4 hourss cleaning six cages. Later that day a visited a local breeder and picked up two breeding pairs of pet budgies and 3 english budgies to make pairs with my budgies. This was all yesterday. Well one of the breeding pairs are already going in the nest box. Keep you informed of any other events. P.S If they are both going into the nest box how long till the eggs are laid? Thanks

Well the great news is that none of my other birds are infected and they are all well

Thanks everyone I am taking the budgie i think is sick to the vet today and going to seprate them all into different cages. So that the disease does not spread. Clean all cages with disinfectant and hopefully that will solve it. Andrew

:hap: I dont know why but two of my budgies have died and with the second one i could tell that it was probably goind to die i am going to separate my budgies into different cages and clean the main cages( with bleach?) What else can i do and what medicines can i give them if there are any. Andrew
