gday there iv had this problem to many times but thing that will stop them is cool mints. i wouldnt say that its the cock is smashing the eggs its more likly to be the hens. The hens will be able to tell if the eggs are fertile but if they have been sitting on the eggs for 1-2 weeks and not one egg is fertile then often the hen will kick the eggs out. hope that will help you?. cheeres mc1.
