Help! Why Did Peppy Die?
Hey, Just 5 minutes ago i went outside to cover up the three baby budgies i have been raising and, the quietest loveliest one (peppy) was dead on the bottom of the cage. Latly iv noticed hes had abit of a build up of budge poop under his tail, and has been alittle depressed looking. Ive had this happed to other birds before too, and the have always resulted in death. but what is it? how is it caused? can i prevent it? I noticed as soon as they get the poop build up, they get quiet, and not long after die. If anyone knows anything about this, please help me!

Hi Im A Newbie
hey guys, id love to post sopme piccies of my birds, but i don't kknow how to. could someone please tel me? As for joining a club, id love that too but im alittle stretched for time at the moment. you see im currently finishing my final year of highschool, and alongside that i train and show horses. we currently have 12 horses and i compete them every weekend, so breeding budgies might have to stay a hobby for a little while longer, well just untill i finish school and have a little motre time on my hands. cheers Jade

Hi Im A Newbie
Hello fellow budgie buddies.... Well, im new to this forum, but you'll all seamed like such a lovely bunch, i had to join in. I am 16 years, and live in Australia. I have been breeding budgies since i was 11. I started with four birds, breeding albino's, lutinos and normal pieds. From theire my flock just kept increasing untill, i had about 12 breeding birds, and numerous babies at different stages. My flock was going strong and i was breeding peids, cinnamons, spangles, lutinos, halequins, and the list gos on..... then one horrible night about three years ago, a ten foot carpet snake got into my avery and consumed all but two of my budgies. putting my budgie breeding on tempory hold. Just recently i have started to get back into breeding them again. it has been wonderful. i have purchased two normal pied hens, a clearwing skyblue male, and a grey cinnimon male. the clearwing and one of the peids, have just recently had their first lot of chicks. the result was one normal peid and two violet cinnimons. they are very cute... anyway, cant wait to join in the forums and learn more about budgies, and hear about all the other fanciers out there. Cheers, Jade
