Hi, thanks birdluv! Aww Ennis really does look like Pretty. How sweet Sure enough, the bald patches are completely gone now and he's got a very spiky head. It's so cute!

Ooh thank you! That's a relief! Aww I didn't know that, poor boys. Their food and water is seen to daily though, and I've made sure they're not getting a draft. The dogs were moved out of the spare bedroom so that the budgies could live in there because it's one of the warmest rooms, hehe. Two very unimpressed dogs. I'll definitely see into the vitamins though. Thanks again!!

Hello everyone! I'm a pretty new budgie owner: I brought two budgies a couple of months ago, Jack and Ennis. Just recently Ennis has developed bald patches on his head, just above his cere and in a couple of places around it. Both of them have been moulting terribly, but I don't think the balding should be happening. He seems fine otherwise, I don't think it bothers him and his behaviour hasn't changed, but I'm still worried. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? Should I take him to the vet? The photo doesn't really show it that well, but Ennis decided to be camera shy. Thanks!
