George Is Head Over Heels In Love
I'm always surprised, especially in the last picture, the amount of emotion birds can pull of! They're just so expressive! I really love the little girls' colours, oh how sweet they are together.

A Thought On Detecting Psittacosis Carriers
Wow that's an extremely scary disease. I feel bad for not quarantining my second budgie, so I'll try to keep a good eye on them to make sure nothing's wrong with them. As for the HIV thing, they have found people immune to it in Africa. The virus connects to a certain receptor of the cells, and in those people it's missing (making the virus unable to connect and reproduce).

Well Trained Budgies!
I'm wondering if there's harnesses small enough for budgies on the topic. I've never seen one on a budgie XD As for your birds, yeah it must seem nice, but I remember back in my old house cats used to come into our gardens. I'm not sure how it is are your place, but since cats are frequently let out without harnesses / bells on their collars I've seen alot of my wild birds I used to feed dead. I'd be worried about that personally.

Be Wary Of Chairs
It's also because the one can't fly as high as the other (Optimus is much older than atlas), so they have to stay somewhat low so I can pick up atlas and put him beside him. He'll run and run away from me as much as he can, but the minute he can't get to Optimus he comes crying to me :budgiedance:

Be Wary Of Chairs
I haven't hurt my budgies at all this way, but I know that they like to perch under my computer desk (it's made of glass and lots of metal tubes etc, so it's a bit of a funplace for them). I always ALWAYS check to see where my birds are before I move my chair at all. I just realized how important it was when today my boyfriend moved the chair and nearly hit one of them So be careful with your chairs!

Photos Of My Flock
So cute! I always laugh when I see the crests on the budgies, it makes them look so angry. >:\

Atlas And Optimus Prime
Somewhat. I was reading a book my friend lent me, Atlas shrugged, and the colours reminded me of water/air/etc, like the titan. So I named him that. I'm out here in Oakville. It's a nice little town. Loved the transformers too Boy wanted to rename atlas to Megatron, since they're always squawking at each other.

My First Blood Feather
also! Keep an eye on them for the next while after you pull it. When I had to pull my boy budgie's feather it turned out it had not completely clotted, so he was still bleeding slowly without my knowledge until the other one screamed at me again.

The Ever Growing Beak...........
Poor baby. That's such a weird thing going on. At least he isn't a picky eater from the sounds of it.

Atlas And Optimus Prime
Alright thanks for clearing that up for me. I did go to an emergancy avian vet though, so I guess I did at least one thing right Awesome, I will see if i can visit those too. My penpal defnately wants to take me to GoldCoast, so I'm sure I'll get to see some nice beaches.

Hello Again From Keith
Oh wow the colour of him is splendid, especially how nicely his cere compliments his feathers! What a sweetheart

Atlas And Optimus Prime
I'm heading to north sydney, then up to brisbane, and hopefully ifI can make enough money there at my summer job I can switch over to Texas, Holland and the Phillipines/Malaysia to visit more penpals. My penpal over there is letting me stay with her in exchange for cooking and cleaning. Thank you very much. I'm hoping to try to get into the industry or change over to animation (like the old Warner bro's bugs bunny cartoons). The budgies are also very sweet to each other; right now Atlas is acting like a 16 year old girl swooning for Optimus' attention.

Atlas And Optimus Prime
I'm outside of toronto right now going to art school. I'm quitting though this year because I don't think this is kinda the stuff I wanna learn. Where might you be? Also, thanks for all the info. When I got atlas the first time round, the woman wouldn't even let me pick one out until I had gone out and come back with a suitable cage (she herself actually owned a flock of birds!). So I guess I put too much trust into the employees when really only one of them was suitably qualified.

Atlas And Optimus Prime
Oh damn! The woman at the petstore said that if I had bought one at that place in the last month I wouldn'tneed to quarantine them, since all the budgies are in seperate areas (for instance, both are "rare" budgies, so they're the same). I guess she fed me the "Well the vets have checked them!" line. I'll remember that for next time, thank you so much. I don't have to quarantine them if I bought them both at the same time do I?

Thank You!
It was a lot. The vet said he didn't really lose too much, but when I went back to the petstore to tell them what happened and to see if they could cover some of it, the woman behind the counter was shocked because it looked more like I tried to kill it with my bare hands than to save it! I'm sorry that your hen passed away like that. That's the worst part of owning a pet, is when they die ;A;!
