  2. Thanks for your replies..I will start to tame her tomorrow, just spend time with her, but her cage needs a big clean out. Her cage doesnt come apart just the bottom tray slides out. I might get her out tomorrow in our bathroom and clean the cage in the shower and give it a good scrub with her out of it... (its going to be cold tomorrow so I rather stay inside (Laughing out loud)) Do you think this is the best way?
  3. Thanks for your replies....she has nipped my finger a couple of times when i went to carry her cage outside (yes a wire cage) so I havent been game to take her out. Whats a best way to tame a bird? Im might do some research? Also can us humans catch any infections from a budgie biting us?

  6. Sorry I am a mum - i just saw i did have male under my profile (im needing to go to bed (Laughing out loud)) From what I have read I wont worry about breeding with her, i think i will start researching more about it and just have her as my pet. thank you so much for your help, i wont need to worry about her eggs now...
  7. We did get excited (Laughing out loud), we tried to make a nest for her but it didnt work. Its so cute she is sitting on her eggs, I dont have the heart to take them away even now I know they are empty (Laughing out loud)....No I dont have any digital photos of her just prints, when we found her she had been attacked by another bird as she had scratches. But she has healed well and seems happy....I feel I have done a good thing so I'm a bit protective of her. What are birds like in the cold.. she's in a cage inside the house, I'm thinking of getting a large bird cage/aviary for her but how do I keep her warm? thanks for your help I'm learning already!!! I was reading about quarratine - had no idea about this!!
