  1. Thank you Elly . Cool, might submit his photo.
  2. Hi there. I would like to introduce my 2 new birds. They are in quarantane at the moment and will move to my outdoor aviary next month. Can't wait ! This is the pretty girl 'Leni' - Thank you, melbournebudgies, for this beautiful bird! And this is her boyfriend 'Max':
  3. Hi Bea. Thanks for the information. Just bought a second hand aviary - jiiiipiiii - so happy! Thought about building one - but that would take forever as my hubby is a slow builder - so I couldn't wait and bought a small second hand aviary. This is my first outdoor aviary and I think it's a good size to start with. Not exactly the size I mentioned in my first post. The one I got is 2m wide and 1m deep and 2m high. I've got 4 budgies at the moment so they will have plenty of space . Can't wait to pick it up!
  4. :yellowhead: Thanks for your replies and help. I don't want to breed budgies at this stage, but maybe next year or so. Just wanted to know what size avairy would be best to keep 6-10 budgies. I would like to build it (or buy one) big enough so there's enough room if I decide to colony breed in future. :yellowhead:
  5. Thank you very much for your reply. :hap: Wow - that many? I would be happy with 10 or so budgies . How many could I keep in this aviary if I want to let them breed? Cheers, Lea
  6. Hi there, :greenb: I might get a small outdoor aviary for my budgies. How many budgies can live happily in an aviary 1.5mx1.5m and 2m high? I don't want it too crowded. :hap: Thank you very much for your help. Lea

Thank you so much for your warm welcomes. I really love this forum and it is so interesting. Really addictive! Have a great weekend with your birds.
  9. Thank you very much for your reply. Oh, that's really interesting. I had a look in the other topics - so violet means cobalt plus the violet factor? :book: ...but she might turn into a green bird after all - not too sure wether she is a Yellowface I or II .
  10. Hi there , Maybe one of the experts can help me and tell me the colour of my new budgie. I think it is a baby hen - Cinnamon Opalin Yellowface, but I don't know what her colour is. It always looks different - grey without flash, greyblue or pastel violett with flash or in sunlight. I attached some photos. The first one is without flash. Thanks for your help.

Thank you :budgiedance: . Felix - the Olivegreen Spangle is not a Yellowface but Lotta (Blue Opalin Spangle) and Lila (Cinnamon Opalin) are Yellowfaces.

:budgiedance: Nice birds Greg. I've got a little cinnamon hen just like yours and also a green spangle cock. They look like twins, don't they? Here the photos:
