Thanks for the info. Yeah I did have my suspiciouns, with Charlie-Murphy being bossy and all..Looks like Buddy has a girlfriend, I just wish he would stick up for himself lol! Any advice for bossy girls? haha

okay thanks for that. So may have to change part of Charlie-Murphy's name to just Charlie haha. CM's cere seems partly blue, what colour will this go if female?

Hi, Here's a better picture of Charlie Murphy (left) and Buddy. Can anyone help with type and gender? Charlie Murphy is about 5 months, Buddy is two years, and I'm pretty sure Buddy is male but still think it's too early to tell for Charlie Murphy. Also, if Buddy is going through a moult, is it best to leave them apart? (they have only been together last 2 days as there was an issue with fighting over food, even though there are 2 of everything in the cages). Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone, Well Buddy has settled after taking the mirrors away 1 1/2 weeks ago. He is a new bird. He doesn't look for every mirror in the house, like he did previously. I can't believe it. I have him back haha! Just wanted to say thanks for the great advice, I wish I realised sooner:( As for Charlie-Murphy, he(she?) is still bossy when it comes to eating. He's too young to determine which sex he/she is. They are in separate cages next to each other so their food bowls are close together, so lets hope Charlie Murphy learns to share with Buddy.

Thanks for that, really helps! I have covered the mirrors now. Poor little thing must be confused. He has a friend now, so hopefully he will concentrate on him now! He is really upset that he can't find any mirrors, he hasn't stopped shrieking, but it has to be done. I guess this will be his behaviour for a few days yet. Buddy has heaps of toys and a large cage, I might put some Eucalyptus branches in to keep him busy Thanks again

Hi everyone, At first I thought Buddy was making that loud shrieking noise for attention, as every morning he will make the noise until I take his cover off and give fresh food/seed. I realised he was also shrieking when he goes to every mirror in the house. He would go to the bathroom mirror, bedroom mirror constantly as if he is obsessed. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me whether mirrors are good or not? Any help would be great! thanks

More pics - still can't really see the cere properly, but it is blue with little bit of white on nostrills. He is about 3 months old now - but this photo was taken a while ago. I'll get a more recent photo tonight. Charlie Murphie This is buddy

I'm about to put some on the computer to post, the cere is blue but there is white around the nostrills. He did have scaly face and has finalised his treatment about 3 weeks ago.
