the roof is covered and the plants i have with them are fine they have been in there for ages so far there fine i have to take pics we are going to hopefuly make a very large avairy for them.

i have a natural floor avairy and i was just wonderin what are the best plants/grasses for avairys?

ive heard that little black ants (if thats what they are) they apsolutley hate lemon juice

hi all i just got a new avairy it is 2m by 2m and 2 m high it is going to have a cement boundry so mice and rats cant dig in a natural floor with natural australian grasses and there will be quails in the bottom hopefuly will breed and it will have 2 to three pairs of budgies in it just wonderin bout what yous all think

i have them feeding on budgie seed, fresh grass (picked every morning) cuttle fish bone , fresh water and little *** bits (apple,oranges and stuff from the fridge )

she is around 8-9months he is 7-8 they dont have a breeding box as they are too young but he sings to her non stop even when it is midnight

thank you i have had my birds for 4 days and i have noticed that the male keeps feeding the feemale and sits next to her and preen each other they have only known each other for four days dose this mean they will be a good pair

we where going to dig a trench around it and put sheet metal in it going up about 40cm high to prevent rodents and 20cm deep

thanks as it also good to have grass for the floor because i read it is good for them

well we are getting it from a friend it is about 5 mt long and 4 mt wide and two metres high but it will only have 5 pairs in it

i have tried to put some photos on but the way they said to do it wouldnt work

my dad said there where only some deaths but other wise it was all good and it is a realy big avairy

gorgus they are looking realy healthy

but breeding all year round will create inforiour offspring and drive the hen to death

my dad and my uncle started with 16 birds in an avairy and when the babys where old enough the removed them and sold them and ended up with over 100 birds in not much time

no it is good to leave them the parents will look after the youngest as if it was the oldest budgies dont lay there eggs all in the one day it could take a week or more so leave them and interfear only if realy needed

budgies natural breeding season is from april to august

well if the part above there beak is blue/mauve it is male cream/brown it is femaleall males except 6 and the 2nd one in picture one

well at the moment the are in a medium cage but in a few days i will be getting an xl aviairy it will contain 18 breeding boxes heaps of food and water it has a grass floor natural grass not the plastic stuff it will have mineral suppliments such as cuttlefish bone and there will be only two birds in it depends when i get money to get more

hi i am new i have started breeding budgies any advise

my two budgies are called butch (the male) cause the night before i got him i was thinking and the name poped to my head and bubbii because she is like a babe and sooks when she dosent get it her way

hi i have just started budgies im 16 and i want some more info on what to do i have my dad who is an ex budgie breeder but i want more info at the moment i have butch and bubbie they are natural green but have dark blue/purple tails
