He does it mainly when hes been calling out to other birds and when he can hear me inside the house doing stuff.He doesnt do it all the time. He chirps alot and bobs his head so its not a health issue I believe. Its hard to describle the noise. Maybe I could post a link of a bird I saw on youtube doing the same noise? The noise im talking about is about 44seconds into the video.

Hey everyone, Got a question for you, I have 3 budgies but my green boy hercules is the most social and noisiest by far. He seems to like doing this high pitch squawking noise alot? It drives me insane after a while because its so loud and high pitched.Is that what budgies just like to do? He has 2 other brothers and has plenty of toys so I dont think hes bored? The other boys are quite tame compared to him.

He looks normal apart from being slightly fluffed up and has lots of pin feathers coming thru...He is still acting the same..slightly hunched over and wanting to be left alone in the corner Making that weird noise too.

Today my budgie zeus has been making this bizzare noise all day and now night, it sounds like hes heavy breathing/crying or wheezing?? Hes usually a very happy noisy budgie and plays with his other brothers, now he just sits on the perch by himself wanting to be left alone or on the bottom of it...This morning i spotted a cat in our yard so maybe zeus got a bit of a fright??

no idea kaz, i knew he was this years hatching tho coz he has the same ring as my other bird :question: are recessive pieds closer to the australian budgie in body or english? or are they are mix?

he has a black ring on his leg, which is this year right? hes got no dark patches on his cere just lots of white/grey fluffy feathers hehehe

i thought he couldve possibly been a spangle i am so besotted with him, hes a big boy too compared to my other normal type budgies...thanks for the replies

I have just realised that my birds are being extremely friendly with each other just recently...they have just been thru their first moult...so now do i expect eggs?? its not just a once off occasion also

Hey Elly How many budgies would you put in a cage like ours? I would love to eventually get more...also if I have a male and female already is it wise to get another pair? or just a male or female? not sure how the cage/bird politics go hehehe... Hey Liv zeus has stopped bossing Hera around which is fantastic! Hes been singing to her alot lately and plenty of kisses hehehe. Feathers they arent related at all but I think they look good together too Nicknack I have sooo many crickets already (Laughing out loud)
