oh dear thanks so much

Hi In the last week or so my 4 yr old male budgie Petey seems to have a mass of droppings sticking to his feathers, I cleaned this off and thought nothing of it however this has happened consistently for the past week or so and I'm concerned something may be wrong with him. Has anyone had this happen before? Could it be just his feathers causing the stick or could it be something more serious please help
