  4. Great news! I am so pleased they have made it trough their first night The male will take a bit to put on some weight. he probbaly also has worms so when they clear they weight will hopfully stack on Thats horrble So the mites actually slowly dismember their host until the host dies of infection :
  5. That looks awesome!! Great snap I haven't got a flight shot yet - i have a crappy camera lol.
  6. Hello and Welcome You have lovely budgies
  7. Hello and welcome I am in SA too
  8. Hello and welcome I am in SA too I agree with lonebudgie. It has been pretty nippy here this week. I have inside birds and outside birds. the outside birds are used to the cold and are fine outside all the time. On the other hand, the inside birds stay inside all the time as this stops them getting sick/stressed from the sudden temperature changes when moving from inside and out and vice versa. Oh and, When his poops were runny, were they bright green?? Did he have any time without food?? Runny green poo that gradually turns back to normal again over a few days, suggests he might have not been eating or run out of food for a short period, but is eating again. PS... he really should have veggies

Hello and welcome. Your little baby is gorgeous!! :hap: I agree that he looks very young, perhaps only 4-5 weeks. You have had some great advice already and i can't find anything else to add other than it's best not to give lettuce. You are doing great and you are going to have a lovely tame and affectionate budgie. I look forward to watching him grow up :hap: edit Also the regurgitating on you is not normal, but not bad either, he probably just thinks you are his sibling and you look hungry to him hehe - baby budgies often feed each other :hap:
  10. All the best for your exams today :hap:
  11. How are they today Libby???
  12. I leave them, but thats just me :hap:
  13. :hap: :hap: :hap: She looks so sweet and innocent I hope you don't need those notes for your exam today All the best with your exam

It's not just you - It is just beause the photos have been removed from the users photobucket account. It often happens has topics get older.
  15. That will be fine
  16. That makes me furious!! those poor birds Well done Libby for giving these guys a second chance :angel1: I might also add, it's not nesasarly the pet shop that is at fault here. It is actually the person who sold the birds to the shop who did this to them - it must be months, perhaps years of neglect
  17. Your hen could also be a double factor spangle. they look like lutinos but have black eyes with iris rings
  18. Hello and welcome. You have been given some great advice already. I also do not let my birds have milk. I give them the odd dry weat bix or toast as a breakfast treat, but not milk. What is your budgies poop like??

They look like they are totally adorable little angels hehehe
  21. those are not budgies They look like very pretty burke's parrots to me
  22. Sorry for your loss It makes me so mad when breeders are irrisposible and only see the $$$$ I had trouble with Kimba (tiel) which i bought from a local bird sale -he almost died on me too - It was the brilliant members here who saved his life. I rang the organisers of the bird sale and they were really helpful. They gave me the number of the breeder and gave me contacts for other breeders if i had any further problems. Kimba is now fighting fit and a little angel
  23. Sorry for your losses You have made great progress with the building. I can't believe how fast it is going up! Your budgies are going to be so happy in their custom made fortress
  24. Congrats on your big day. I hope all the planing goes smoothly.
  25. regardless of gender, your nippy baby will need lots more attention. babies only tend to bite because they are scared or feel threatened in some way. Lots and lots of love and cuddles and the little bub should stop nipping
