It is fine to breed the different sizes. The chicks should be bigger than dad but smaller than mum - a nice size for a pet type

Thanks for that Liv, i named them all last nite, the albine is Penny, the green is Jordan, the grey with lots of black around her neck is Roxy and the other grey is Amelia ( all are club size which is what i want to breed) i got them from the SA Bird Company 440 Main North Rd Blaire Athol, I nearly came home with another grey cock but i ran out of money, they had alot of the green and olive green and a few others that i would have liked. I used to do this with (human) baby food - it works a treat and saves so much time I cant think of anything that cant be frozen

My Cookie likes to chew my nose :| The chewing is normal budgie behavior - Sew buttons, bells, ropes, beads etc onto an old shirt and watch him go crazy when you ware it Him flapping around in his cage is normal too - like you said, it is him getting some excersise lots of animals do it - Like a dog when they go crazy running around the back yard for a minuite or two hahaha it looks funny and they get so puffed

I had an egg smasher once, when i was really young and i dont really remember what i did to stop her, but she did. Perhaps give her a fake egg so she can not smash it and will get the idea that she is meant to sit on them, not smash them. **Snap MB ** She might just get over it in an egg or two - she might be just exploring the funny white things that have popped out her butt . I put a massive 2 meter gum branch in my aviary and my birds reduced it to twigs in 4 days!! Perhaps leave the plants on the outside of the aviary and like Kaz said, give them branches to chew instead

I don't know if they can sense spring on the way, but our recent rains have sent my aviary into a budgie bonking frenzy too.
