Yes. Have you ever been robbed?
  2. Thats different Hormones... does that mean he is regurgitating rather than vomiting?? regurgitating is an up and down movement, often happens while singing and chatting to an object (or mate) Vomiting is a side to side shaking of the head and the food gets flicked all over the place.... If is just regurgitation, extra sleeping hours during the night - at least 12-14 hours of quiet dark sleeping him, may calm his hormones.

Yes - I love learning. Have you ever spent over $300 on a single item of clothing??

Great Idea Neat!! I have seen a number of houses with large aviaries filled with budgies in my area, and i will be sure to drop one in their letter boxes
  5. MAZDA!!! Oh what a feeling...
  6. A budgie will loose some tameness when in the aviary. It will never be as wild as the un-tamed budgies, but it will gradually loose its bond to you and become a bird rather than a person. But in saying that. You should be able to re-tame your budgie after breeding, especially when breeding in a cabinet.
  7. Very cute!!! I'd love to hear all about him/her too
  8. That poop on the perch looks good I agree that he should be kept warmer at the moment. a light is great for providing heat. You can also keep his cage half covered with a thick cloth to keep out the droughts. If he is use to being outside then he will be able to deal with the cold better than a bird that is used to being inside. To me he looks a little fluffed (which means he is struggling to keep warm) , so i would recommend a warm lamp (like Kaz said) and a some time inside out of the cold.
  9. Look at my previous post ... Are his poos like that??

Go Fish and Yes ( i eat them more in summer , but my birds love them all year round ) Do you worry about global warming??
  11. This is what his poop will look like if he is not eating well Healthy budgie poop is small round back/green deposit, with a white dot in the center. p.s Kaz is the queen of telling gender so Charlie would be a boy
  12. What an adorable budgie It looks like a hen (female) to me, but i am not always right. Charlie is a Yellow Faced, type 2, recessive pied - very pretty. I would say that s/he is about 5-6 weeks old. Have you seen him eat yet???
  13. I look forward to your pictures. Here is a link with instructions on how to post pictures ---> HERE And if you have any troubles, feel free to ask as we are here to help
  14. a DF spangle will get iris rigs as it reaches about 8 months of age. I believe a DEC (dark eyed clear) will not get iris rings... Dont hold me to it though as i am often wrong in this area
  15. I agree that wood is tricky to clean - If they get too bad you just replace them. I use vinegar to clean cages and dishes though
  16. I hope you have a great holiday
