Can I Use This?
I agree you could turn the top two into cabinets. What has been spilled on the shelves??? You will need to give it a very good clean and air before to make sure there is no chemical residue. Otherwise i think it would be great

Introducing Myself And My Bird
I am not exactly sure why her beak is long... Possibly calcium defficeny. The flaking of the beak is caused by a lack of vitamins and minerals. I would give a multi vitamin in her water every second day until she starts eating lots of veggies, and then once a week there after.

Budgie Breeding
I dont breed in july either, but seeing you have babies out in the cold. I would get some thick cloth, like a towel, but nothing colourful or patterned, and wrap it around the box to provide some insulation against the cold. Cont cover the front side or the hole. I did this during a cold snap we had last September and my babies stayed warm. You will have to keep an eye on them as you don't want to scare the hen away either with the towel. Also make sure you keep nesting material in there (unless the hen stresses about it) If you do happen to find a dead chick, but its still pink looking, bring it inside and put it close to your body for about 30 mins. Often chilled chicks can be revived once warmed up completely.

Introducing Myself And My Bird
Hello and welcome Summer!! I say she is a girl and about 4 months old. She is a pretty dominant pied. Looks like she is going though quite a heavy moult. you can help her though this time by giving her lots of fresh veggies (brocoli, peas, corn, carrot etc) If she won't eat the veggies you can get a vitamin supplement to put in her water which will help her feathers develop nicely. She sounds lovely and the progress you are making with her taming is really good considering her age

My New 2nd Hand Aviary
Personally, I would turn the roller door into a hinged door. I would hate for a roller to get jammed and the door get stuck open :budgiedance:

Budgie Travel
Yeah i know its on a slight angle. I installed the perch too high for the big (boofy) show types. They could bump their heads on the top, so i lowered it at one end so they wouldn't get a head ache :budgiedance: Its glued into a hole at the other end so i will have to cut it out... I will adjust it properly soon, and i will add another perch too hehe

What To Give My Birds?
I look forward to hearing how they go. Also.. I have noticed that its best to give fresh food at their feeding times - for mine birds its about 4pm at the moment. In the middle of the day, food will tend to sit until they are ready to feed again.
