  9. Too early to tell if dad is pure as all the chicks could be male. If there are females in the clutch then he is not split. I can already see the males in this clutch...I also have the dads pedigree somewhere ( Ken has messed with my paperwork and I need to search for it ) and in the pedigree it will say about cinnamon or not. you are so clever at seeing the genders of the really young chicks!! If you have normal females then the male cant be split can he.

  16. I have 2 small quails (a male and female) running around the floor of my aviary. They are not a problem in any way. I put sand over my pavers to make them more comfortable. If you want some, go for it, but i have read it is only recommended to have 1 pair per aviary
