I agree wit MelbourneBudgies. Also, you possibly have an out break - have you bought any new birds recently and added them to your aviary?? Also do you have mice that can get access to the birds food?? You need to get to an avian vet ASAP, even if your hen dies, put her in the fridge (wrapped in a number of plastic bags) Wash your hands thouroghly. The vet can do an autopsy to determine the cause of death and hopfully save your remiaining birds.

I agree with Neat, Its a personal choice. As long as things stay clean and the water container isn't slimy and there is a consistent supply of seed and fresh food, then you can create a routine however you like - there are no strict rules.

two days until chicks are due. I can see the babies moving around in the shell when i candle them - SOOO CUTE When will i hear them cheep from in the shell?? Total fertile egg count as of today is 17 all ranging from new veins to just about to hatch.

Awww, thanks so much for your kind words everyone. He was very special to me and because he has been living inside I grew even closer to him. I am relieved he is a peace and no longer on his roller coaster of ill health. Thanks again, really you are all so kind
My beautiful BG lost his battle this morning I woke to find him on the bottom of the cage asleep and shortly after he passed peacefully in my hands Forever loved and forever missed Fly free my beautiful boy :angel1:
Need a good clear photo of the cere. The bub is a dominant pied, but its too soon to see if there are opaline in the feather markings yet
they are adorable neat :hap: I agree, i hope they are both chickens. Who did you get them from as breeders can often picture the gender of day old chicks by their size or colour - i dont remember... I look forward to more pictures of the little cuties :hap:
