    She will be okay, some hens are a bit funny at first. if she really dissaproves then take it out and pull the millet off the stick and put the seeds back in the box

    Budgies sometimes lay off the perch at night if they cant find the nest box in the dark, or if it comes as an accident. I wouldn't worry about it for now. Hens should only be off the eggs for about 20 mins tops (depending on the temperature) once they have started incubating.

Time for an update: looks like i am not going to get as many bubs as first thought - the saying "dont count your chickens" is oh so true :ohmygod: Here are the bald chicks as of today Pair One Chick one (7 days old) Chick two (6 days old) (aww a yawn ) Pair Two Chick one (5 days old) Pair Three Chick one (7 days old) (this chick is huge!) Chick two (2 days old) Pair Four Chick one (4 days old) Chick two (3 days old) Pair Five Chick one (4 days old) Well that's it to date - there are a couple more eggs to hatch, but they will all have small clutches this round.
