  1. great to hear your little bub is doing okay. i hope the issue rights its self soon.
  2. Personally i would avoid hand raring and only use it has a very last resort. My cookie came inside just as he was ready to leave the nest. i brought him inside with his dad so he still got fed, but he got tamed at the same time- it worked really well and when cookie was weaned his dad went back in the aviary. Cookie is very tame now :laughter: Good luck
  3. :laughter: reminds me of my daughter when she eats
  4. Awww Spike is gorgeous! I love the cinnamons!
  5. About 9 years ago when i got my Learners drivers licence When was the last time you had a garage sale?

    not sure what you mean?
  8. I agree more info needed... What are you feeding them? Are they colony bred or cabinet bred? Are there any rodents around? Have you got any sick adult birds? Are you providing any supplements? and anything else that you can think of that might help
  9. Neat, what a tough week you have had :hap: I haven't noticed any thing bad in you posts either. I am thinking of you
  10. That is brilliant Kaz!!! :hap:
  11. the prem baby would have been pale because all its blood would have bled out into the egg when it hatched - i am so sorry it passed away - sadly these things happen at times :party0011: Congrats on your new baby :party0011:
  12. I also agree with Kaz, that moving the cage is probably the cause. If the hen has been laying lots of eggs already also make sure that they are getting plenty of calcium. Also you said you bought them together at the same shop at the same time.... is there any chance they are brother and sister?
  13. This happened to me only a week or so ago too :party0011: I am so sorry, but your hen has possibly helped it out of the shell too early - there is nothing that can be done :party0011: Can you post a picture?
  14. Exercise haha.. i'm with neat - i chase kids
  15. Covering them reduces their stress greatly. I would cover them now.

  18. It's great to hear from you again. Elly has given great advice so i just wanted to stop by and say hi :budgiedance:
  19. I am having a run of bad luck with this round :budgiedance: I have to admit i am learning so much in the process too - i feel like i am on a crash corse on everything budgie. Today i discovered one chick with splayed legs Notice the bowing bone and redness to the leg. The splint has been placed I am giving a drop of avical to the beak each day. I have caught it early so should recover well
  20. Congtsts!! I look forward to photos :budgiedance:
