Also what can i do about the nest box? its pretty messy in there should i clean it out or just leave it untill the chicks leave it? Thanks Again
  5. Hey everyone, i took some pictures of my two chicks this afternoon, here they are. The older one is around 3 weeks and the younger id say around 2 weeks, does that sound about right by their pictures? Do they look okay? 9. No offence taken and i apologise if i came across as being abit abrupt but you really shouldnt assume that everyone that gets on here gets on here because they dont know anything. but anyway group hug?????
  10. Thanks to those for the useful info, ill post up some pics when its a bit older :)and thanks to those for jumping to conclusions. i had a pair of finches in that cage before i got the budgies. the Budgies have a rather roomy nest box. and FOR YOUR INFORMATION, my father and i have had Budgies bofore, but not for many years, so maybe before jumping to conclusions and driving people away by assuming they know nothing you should ask them what they do know.
  11. Hey everyone, some of you may remember me (but i doubt it) im back to just having my two orignial budgies, a pair whom have just layed and eggs and one of which (that i know of so far) has hatched yippee. i now also have 4 indian ringneck parrots, nibbler, sooty fry and ruski, im waiting for sootys wings to grow back and she will be going to my friends aviry as a breeder as she is very viscious (i have the scars to prove it) i just think she would be happier in a big cage where she can fly around. Nibbler is a green fid (i think he is a he lol) is just under a year old and has started talking, he can say hello, good boy and sort of say Nibbler its an exciting time. Fry (another green) looks incredibly highly strung and i found out the other day why (ill post up some links to vids and pics if youd all like to see them) and Ruski is a green lacewing female she is a beautiful bird and has a pretty good nature I hope that you all mite be interested in seeing some pics of my birds that arnt budgies and i look forward to gaining some knowledge about caring for baby budgies and the taming of them thanks
  12. I know that both Ringnecks and Budgies can be a little bossy, but would they get along? or is it a case of they may or may not? thanks
  13. http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee247/r...rl/DSCF0071.jpg heres a picture of the parents, the 1st chick ive seen would be 3 days old, how old are they when they open their eyes? thanks
