  1. Hi! I`m wondering about Grey and Greygreen budgerigars. Do they or don`t they carry the darkfactor? KBJ
  2. Oh, what a pretty bird! Are they hard to get a hold of in Australia? You are very lucky to have sush a bird in your aviary. I noticed that you have 200+ budgies. Wow, that`s really exciting! Do you have more rare variaties? I`m currently on a waiting list for a Texas Clearbody. Do you have that as well? Yes, unfortunately my web-site is in norwegian only at the moment. I`m going to make some changes soon and then I`m planning to translate it into english as well. I`ve just bought several new showbudgies from a well known breeder here in norway, among them a visuel violet witch are among my favourite colours. I`ve also sold out most of the Australian flock, except for my Fallows and the olive hen with the yellow wings witch I have yet to identify. Noone seems to know what mutation she is and it`s so frustrating. Have a great day! KBJ
  3. Thanks Norm! I guess I`ll have to be very lucky then or extremely patient in order to get Lacewing offspring from these birds. But for now they are my only hope as the variaty is quite hard to get a hold of here in Norway. Both cocks are in the green series. I`m planning to pair them both to cobalt hens. My favourite is the white lacewing! Do you have any pictures of the hen that you produced? I would love to see her. Have a great day! KBJ http://home.online.no/~ru-torp/
  4. Hi! I have just bought two split Lacewing cocks. An actual lacewing is next to impossible to get your hands on here in Norway, unfortunately. Even though I know there`s only a 25% chance of getting Lacewing Females, I`m hoping that I will be lucky eventually. Are any of you familiar with breeding split Lacewing birds to normals and if so, what is your experiance with producing Lacewing hens after such a bird? Is it next to impossible or quite common? Both birds will be paired to normal dark factor hens this spring. Any advice and/or tips will be grately appreciated! thanks so much! :budgiedance:
  5. Thanks Nerwen. Could she be a Fallow also since her eyes are plum, or do reccesive Pieds have plum eyes as they reach adulthood as well? My camera always captures the redness in her eyes, but when I look at her in my aviary it is not that obvious that she has plum eyes. I have to hold her close to the window to actually be able to see it. I have two ordenairy Fallows as well but these have much lighter and more "pinkish" red eyes. Like an ino.
  6. Yes, I know and we don`t have Melanistic Spangles here in Norway yet that I am aware of. However she looks a lot like one I think. I was hoping that Daz would take a look at her, as I know he has this variaty in his aviary. A silly question I guess, but is there a possibility, since this is a rather new mutation still, that DF Melanistic Spangles can occure without both parents having to be Melanistic Spangles??
  7. Hi! Could you help me out with this one: http://www.undulatprat.no/viewtopic.php?t=7566 as well? Thanks! :bluebudgie: KBJ
  8. Hi everyone! Here`s a picture of here from the front: http://upload2.postimage.org/22837/photo_hosting.html I`ve never heard of a Double factor Melanistic spangle? What is the difference between this one and regular doubble factor spangle birds? If anyone have photos of such a bird I would love to see them. Thanks! KBJ
  9. Hi, I bought a pretty little green and yellow girl from a hobby breeder some months ago. I`m currently a member of 4 budgie forums and I decided to post some pictures of her, as I had troubble figuring out what kind of mutation she was. Sadly noone else seemed to be quite sure either and it was suggested by several breeders that I waited until she`d had her first molt and then take some new pictures of her. I just posted to the other forums as well in the hopes that someone can figure out what she is. I`ve been told by two breeders, one here in Norway and one in Denmark, that she looks a lot like a Doubble Factor Danish Dominant. The only problem is that we don`t have this variaty in Norway. Also in order to breed a DF Danish Dominant both parents need to be Danish Dominant and her`s are not. Her father is said to be a light green spangle, her mother is australian pied cinnamon lighgreen. I clearly have some doubt about her parents as two lightgreen birds cannot produce an olivegreen baby. Her breeder has all of his birds breeding together in one large cage so another cock may very well have been involved. Would anyone please take a look at her and give me your opinions on what you think?! I`m not sure how to insert pictures here so I`m attaching this link for you to have a look at her: http://www.undulatprat.no/viewtopic.php?t=8389&highlight= Thanks a lot! I`m looking forward to hearing from you
