8 Babies
Hello there, my baby #4 who has been out of the breeding box for a week has been returning to the nest more and more each day. does anyone know why? also he has always begged for food from his parents even though i have watched and seen him eat on his own. he sits alone most of the time not interacting with his siblings much. I still have 3 babies in the box so i can't remove it..he is an albino. I am very curious about his behaviour? I have found reading all the topics very imformative. Thanks annq :budgiedance:

1st Baby Out Of The Nest
Is baby fully feathered ? If not, he should be put back in the nest until he is. If around 4-5 weeks or more, it should be okay. But fully feathered is a good sign that its ready. You cant put it back at night. One of my chicks that went back into its nest at night was attacked by its mother as she didnt recognise who was coming into the nest. Baby is fully feathered and he's nearly 5 weeks, I've covered the cage so he should be okay it's not a cold night. Thanks for your help Kaz

8 Babies
Hi, thanks for your reply I've mixed up egg & biscuit a few times but they won't eat it. I give them multi grain bread soaked in a little whole milk and sprinkled with sugar saw this on Dr Harry a while back they love it. They get fresh greens and fruit everyday, also someone said i'ts not good to give them lettuce is this true? Look forward to a reply annq

1st Baby Out Of The Nest
Hi there,I need some help with my 1st baby out of the nest. He (we'll say it's a boy) came out for a while yesterday afternoon and again today.Yesterday I popped him back in after a while but today I left him on the bottom of the cage with some water and I made an igloo for him with some millet spray inside. He is just sitting on the floor of the cage..seems to be a little lost...mum and dad are perched high up so, I'm wondering should I put him back in the breeding box? PS It's night here. Hope you can help Thanks annq
