  1. Hello! I'm sure you get these questions about 10 times a day, but I wanted to show off two budgies I've gotten for a mate of mine (he loooves birds) and I'd love to get some people with a bit more experience to help me be a bit more sure of the sexes. Yellow was sold to me as a lutino male, and he'd be coming up to a year old now. Creamino was puchased as a Creamino female, and is only about 3-4 months old. Photos are taken with flash. I can get better pictures if required. Also, random, but there's an adult male at work with a nice blue cere, but he looks just like the creamino girl but with solid black eyes. What 'colour'/'type' of budgie would that be? He's stunning, but he's got some 'smudgy' looking markings on his chest.
  2. When I saw Bunny at the store I work at, I HAD to have him. He's the whole reason I upgraded the flock. He, Murray and Ed were all together and I just took all three. Luna came the next day cause she/he's just beautiful. I love the white. Thanks! I just got my new camera last night (upgrade from my old SLR) and had to take pictures of them all. Since I had pictures, I figured it was a good time to join the forums and post.
  3. Thanks! I'm actually staring at Bunny now and thinking he could possibly be a cinnamon when I compare his markings to say, Murray's, which are really dark.
  4. Hey there, new member here. =) I've owned two budgies for the last year and a half now, but I've recently added four more to my flock. I now have (I think!) three boys and three girls. I wanted to share some pictures, and see if I could get some help identifying the colour mutations of each. =) Each one is different and while I know the basics of some colours I'm not as well versed as some of you and I'd love to be able to tell people for sure what my budgies actually are. First is Bluey (original, I know), one of my original two, and female. =) Second is Greeny, the 2nd of my original pair, and also a hen. She's almost neon green on her breast and underbelly, with no blue in her tail at all: And now, the new kids, first up is Murray, male. He's an all over amazing aquamarine blue, with interesting wing markings. I've included a picture of his flights so you can see that he has the aqua blue colour there as well: Next is Enda, or 'Ed' for short. As far as I can tell, she's just a standard green budgie. =) And now Bunny, male, and I know at least that he's a yellow-head, but past that I'm not sure. He's a really neat blue-ish grey colour with very light head stripes: And, last but not least, Luna. I'm...lost as to whether he's ACTUALLY a boy as the cere colour gets my confused. =/ Any help there? Thanks so much, and I'm glad to be here! =) -Rose
