Hi All Just thought I'd let you know that all your help paid off, and quickly. Our little man is back! He is just as noisy and active as he used to be, he is eating heaps and we are hoping that he will be putting all the weight he lost back on. I got some great advise from another forum on foogles and his weight problem. The suggestions on the corn was a great one, he loves it and we are getting a little egg mix into him as well. We have another vet appointment tomorrow so we should get an idea on where he is up to but if his personality is anything to go by he is doing fine. Once again thanks for all your help and support. Thanks to you all for getting back to me so quickly. We took Quasie off to the vet today and it seems he isn't all that well. The vet said that he was quite skinny and may have some kind of infection, She gave him a shot of vitamin B and a shot of antibiotics. We are going back each week for the next 6 weeks for antibiotic shots. He is now in his travel cage with the cover over and a hot water bottle between the wall and the cage to keep him warm, he is still quiet but we are hoping that he will come around soon. He has lots of water, fresh veggies and seed to try and entice him to eat a bit more. Once again thanks so much for your help. We have had Quasie for over 5 years now and he has never been ill like this before. I will let you all know how it goes.

Hi Just wondering if someone can help, my budgie has not been his usual self. He is molting at the moment but it dosen't usually affect him this much. He is very lethargic and is sleeping much more than usual, the top of his head is quite red and looks very sore. He is usually very active, noisey and independant but there has been none of that the last few days. I am just worried about such a big chage in temperament and was wondering if it could be something a bit more serious. Any advise you can give would be great. Thanks
