Hello everyone. Just thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself and my little family. My name is Sandee, and I live in southwest Manitoba, Canada. I started out about a year ago with 2 budgies that were given to me. I discovered fairly quickly that budgies are very addicting, and now have 6 adults and 6 babies. My family includes Smoke (on the left) and Cloud, their 6 babies, and (from the top) Blue, Dawn, Skye (on the wall) and Sunny Everybody was reunited in the big cage yesterday. The babies decided they are big birds now and headed into the branches to join the adults. :sport: I enjoy just sitting and watching their antics. Sandee
  3. Thank you all for helping set me straight on what they are. Sandee
  4. Hi Nerwin. Thank you for your reply. Confused....yes....but totally lost....not quite yet....(Laughing out loud). So I'll ask another question to see if I can reach the totally lost stage. The babies seem to have such a mix of wing and belly markings, from fairly prominent to hardly anything. Are they all still considered dominant pied? For example, the oldest baby has a lot of marking: But the others have nowhere near the same amount of marking: Any thoughts would be appreciated. Sandee
  5. Hello. I was wondering if anyone could give me some clues as to what mutation Smoke is. The markings on his head/neck are not black, they are a mix of blues. The markings on his wings are a grey/bluish color. His body color is white with blue on his back and a small amount of blue on his belly (near the legs). Crossed with a recessive pied female (Cloud), the babies have a variety of markings. Pictures of them can be seen at: Smoke cloud babies I had thought he was a recessive pied, but looking at the babies markings, I have been questioning that. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.
