i decorate my house like crazy for xmas. lots of people come for a sticky. a family with two young boys arrived with two cockietels on there shoulders. it was 10pm. one bird was a youngster and the other was about two. both had there wings clipped. the mother said they clipped the wings so they wont fly far. is it usual to keep on clipping birds? snowy

i really enjoy looking at baby/budgie fotos. i have found some peace now (lost my budgie to my dog last thursday). its still empty and queit and i dont like my dog as much, but i know there a budgie out there waiting for me. snowy Here is a picture I took with the flash on... (you are right all the other pics were taken with incandescent light)... the chick right in the middle is one that you and I think we see yellow on the head and the chick with it's head burried on the far left is the other one... maybe you can tell from this picture?? I will have to see if I can retake the pics tomorrow in the natural sunlight by the window or something.... or find a lamp with a flourescent bulb instead?

i had a beautiful baby which i had for only three weeks. he & I loved each other. my 21yr son forgot to lock the cage and my bird tried to find me. my blind 11yr **** zu found him and only left the tail feathers. i heard a distressed call but i was too late. leanne

i had to get billy put to sleep. he was too sick. im heartbroken. leanne

i am having problems with my bird. billy or billie is 9 months and is a lutino (yellow with white patches on his face). A few weeks ago his cere went brown in color but i noticed today that it has changed to blue. i went to the vet today and he couldn't tell me what sex it was but suggested a blood test. The main reason i visited him was that billie has started biting me. an example today was he was siting on my shoulder and bit me hard on the ear. i pushed him away and he just sat and looked at me as if to say what did i do wrong. i was not happy wit the vet. he didn't really listen to me. he clipped billys wings and clipped his nails, demanded I take a video home to watch & learn. I have had budgies as pets for 40 years and was offended. billy is being naughty. He was enjoying flying round the house investigating but now his wings have been clipped. during his flies he would land on my head or arm but now he won't be able to for awhile. the saying had your wings clipped is so true. i do need some help please. leanne

hi i have a yellow bird with pretty white face feathers. I think he is a lutino. I don't know if he a male. his cere is violet in colour. Will send a photo when i can work out photo bucket. i think he is a male. he doesn't bite would appreciate any help, please. leanne
