Trying To Make A Travel Cage
okay here is the finish product and please don't laugh. it is tiny bit over 6 inches wide, 7 inches high and about 131/2 inches long and I really don't know how that happened as I thought I measured 11inches for the length The weight of it is 1 kilo, I have framed it and used screws so it doesn't apart in transit

How To Help A Beginner
I think you you first start out in my opinon you should start will the normal varieties and get to no them and only after a few years and proof to youself that you are on the right track then bring in the lesser varieties. I believe this is the only way to learn and that is what I was told my many top breeders.

A New Venture
I told him when he got home from work he had a look but because it's that hot he needs to wait and see what they look like but I think he like them anyway I told I was very happy with my purchace of my dilute and he actally said good . I am now researching on breeding clear wings because that's my plan

A New Venture
Last night our club held our selling Auctions, which meant that more experienced breeders for example open and champion breeders brought along quality birds mainly for beginners and intermediate to buy, prices were on the back on the cages ranging from $20. to $100. Beginner and Intermediates could of brought some too but I had none left to take. Anyway there were 5 beginners and intermediates that chose their numbers first including me then the opens and champion breeders chose their numbers. Rats! I got number 4 so I had to patently wait my turn because there was a dilute hen there bred to the line I am working and gee was she nice, even the opens and champion breeders wanted her, Anyway Brad went first and he chose the bird I chose as second an Alan Rowe bloodline light green cock and boy was he nice only $25.00 what a bargain, Then David went in he chose the hen I planned on getting because it was a 100% watson breeding and she was grey which is what I needed but she was very heavy flecked and I new Greg would kill me If I bought home a heavy flecked bird, she was $50.00. Mind you I am not to bring home any birds the moment but I couldn't help myself... BUT still I wanted the dilute Anyway then it was June turn to go and gee did I panic because i eyed off this bird as a baby anyway I was nervous and I couldn't believe it June chose this very ordinary spangle and it was only $15.00 which was under the price that they were meant to be. And at long last my go and off I went graped my pretty girl she is the blue series "pics later" too hot at the moment., then I think the champs and open had there go and then it was our go again but by the time it got to me there was not much left worth buying as my birds are better at home but there was a sister to the light green cock from above and I wouldn't of minded getting her but we all needed to take our turn, My dilute was only $50.00 no one charged more than that which was great because we were sure they would of been the maximum price. Specially my dilute the breeder would of got $100.00 at his place. Anyway the same breeder brought along some old birds which were top birds once so the same went again I got a yellow face cock 05 ring and a Grey hen 07 which is young . So in all I came home with 3 birds and Greg doesn't know yet But these 3 birds are all line bred to what I have so it should be great there was another yellow face cock there 04 ring I was going to chose him next round but Gary graped him, He had better features than mine but the breeder told that he had bred some really good bird from the one I got and they were free, TAKE YOUR CHANCE you could get one good bird then it would be all worth it the breeder said. My hen the Grey 3 is slightly flecked and she had a question mark for fertility but it is still worth trying

Hot Days Are With Us Already!
The sounds great Gb but becareful of the shade as my breeding room I took off some of windows and replaced half with shade mesh and there was hardly any air coming in so I took off the bottem half of the shade mesh too. I couldn't believe how much air was restricted because of the shade mesh. I don't bother my birds either on these really hot days but I do put the sprinker on top of the aviary and put big round planter bottoms in the aviary for a dip for them and also put the sprinkler on softly so they can have a dunk too.

Hot Days Are With Us Already!
Yesterday I had the sprinkler on the roof of the aviary as they were all on the ground in no time they were up chirping away. Then I put the sprinkler on the lawn and just let it hit the frony of each aviary wnere there is no seed and you should of seem them sooo funny they were lying it wings spread out rolling on their backs cute and gee it made the all happy. Warning about ice cubes yes it'a alright to use them but fresh water is better as yesterday I put the icecubes in the water bottle in the breeding room and the water was really hot before hand. But then it was cold and Greg said going from hot water well very warm to cold water can give them a stomache just like us of we were over heating and the birds being small could kill them. Well you should of seen me rush out and take there water away and replace it with normal tap water. I want to make a sail for above my aviary does any one on here no how to and do you make it how much smaller than you want so it streches out to be tight and what airflow of shade mesh should one buy as I think you can purchase 25%, 50% and 75%

Am I A Dilute? Where Did I Come From?!
Doesn't look dilute to me either as I understand it dilute is something like 25% or 30% of body colour only something like that. But your baby looks like it has too much colour, Nubbly maybe right greywing. Your babies are lovely and as Nubbly said the have feather, good luck with them.

As you have a splat bird- Aloe Vera
It is the meditional one which I bought for our horse ( medical), but yes you get a leaf cut it open and put in the drinking water the hole thing, the same as rubbing it on our ski. When we had our horse I would put the jelly in his feed helped sort out his insides- Another Baby Dies
Yes I don't know why he died as he looked fit as a fiddle that morning and he couldn't of being too crook earlier as he filled 5 eggs out of six and she had only laid the 4 when he pssed away.- Another Baby Dies
Yes Robyn 4 hatched out of 5 eggs 3 are alive and well, the last one hatched died that day. I think one is a pied.- Can A Cocks Cere Turn Brown?
A cocks cere turns brown when he goes out of condition as with a hen her cere will turn white to a bluish colour.- Some Of Our Red And Blue Ringers

Congratulations GB !!! I loved this picture.- Is This Normal?
You could breed it out but would take a while and you wouldn't put them with small birds but with birds with wings the are tight and fine not broad or long. - Another Pair Three Chicks
