The 4 varieties you have listed are to be shown in the AOSV Class, Any Other Standard Variety. Normally you only see Suffused yellow and white shown though. I have never seen a Darkwing or a Saddleback, and only once seen a Dark eyed clear shown!! Thanks.

Thanks for your quick response Daz, it does appear to be hard to get an answer, so thank you.

Hi can anyone confirm what varieties should be shown in the AOSV class, I believe Dark Eyed Clear, Darkwing, Suffused Yellow & White, Saddleback are some of them, but are there anymore? It seems there are a number of different views on this and I wondered if anyone knows, thanks in advance.

Hi Daffy, I am also new to this site and prior to joining the community read it as a guest and have found it very useful. In regards to your aviary floor a cost effective way that I found (too the expensive concrete) was using paving slabs inside and filling the gaps with posting concrete and using a hose sprinkling water over the base to enable the concrete to set, (make sure the door is able to open), and leveling it off with a yard broom. I then dug a small trench around the outside against the base and filled that with posting concrete. This was all done prior to the birds being introduced.

Hi, I am new to the forum but felt I had to comment on the costs of birds. I have only been breeding for about a year and recently sold a number of Budgies. I won't sell any of my birds under 3 months and I do sell for $5 a bird. I don't sell bulk numbers, nor to dealers or pet shops. My birds are healthy and there enviroment clean. I sell at the chosen amount as I want everyone to have the opportunity to enjoy these wonderful creatures and try and deter people from buying from the pet stores at extortianate prices for poor quality birds. I also recently started handing out brochures and a contact number to purchases to try and assist them with there concerns or questions. Not all people that sell birds at what others consider cheap are "bird breedin mills"
