The Budgie Smuggler

okay I'm back from the Vet with Good and Bad New The good News first its not Megabacteria, He said its Wire Poisoning. I didn't think there was a thing. I think this is right too because thats the only cage we have that the wires not power coated. So the cage is Gone!! I have also taken a fresh poo of every bird to get tested okay the bad She died last night at the vets

She's looking pretty sick now but is still trying to eat. will try the vet out but there not really to good with the birds around here more a livestock vet.

We have some bad news :question: We think it might of started a few months back when one of our best Males with no warnings just dropped dead (we had him for 2 years or more) We have 3 pairs of breeders in the boxs now and yesterday morring we were checking them and 1 hen has her face covered in regurgitated seed. with a lot of searching on the net, Its is disease she has been in the main cage with all the birds too, and the male that was in the box with her is our last good breeder and our 7 year old daughter's Pet. So thing are looking to good. We havn't got any new birds lately the last one was about 12 months ago. I also heard that even with the treatment it will come back I will be giving the Apple Cider Vinegar ago with all the birds today (fingers crossed) the really bad part of this is our favorite bird that lives in the house with us and is very very tame and talks (never shuts up) Has only been in contact with some of the other birds in the main cage in the last couple of weeks. I will take a photo of the sick hen and post it so others will know what to look for.

(Laughing out loud) His name is skittles....He is my birthday pressy from hubby and the kids.

Don't know I saw him in the pet shop and had to have him Can't wait to see what he's babys are going to look like :budgiedance:

Here's some picture of our new comers we have 2 like these.. One has got a lot of Grey coming though on the blue this is Nibbler This is the Father and Mother

Mum does have iris ring in one eye.

She has one very faint iris ring and a dark green patch on her rump ,the same green that is on her wing tips if that helps.

Hi all, We have a budgie thats slowly changing colours is this normal ? It was all blue chested. then we noticed that there was a few green feathers and now it seams to be getting more and more green ones Heres a photo of it be for... Heres some photos I took today

Heres are our first babies We call them the Twinz as you can see there colouring is exactly the same One is 6 weeks and the other 5 weeks old can you give me what sort of ones they are ?

I'd go with the powder coating if its a good powder coater a budgie shouldn't be able to chip it . powder coating here is around $25 a meter
