Infertile Eggs
thanks Feathers and Paul, I will leave them and wait. When i had a look with the torch they were clear with a little air pocket and i could see yellow from the yolk. The first egg was laid on the 21st March and the last on the 4th april. This is their first time and mine at breeding them, April is 3 years old and Big Fellow is just over one. I put these two together because they had paired up in the aviary. Thank again Jillinda

Infertile Eggs
Hi All I have a question or two. I don't think April and Big Fellow eggs are fertile. So my Questions are Should I take all the eggs out? Do i leave them together to try again, Rest them or put with a different mate? Thanks Jillinda

will keep you posted. A friend of mine used to breed show birds and even won some national titles a couple of years ago. They decided to retire and sold them off in six lots for thousands of dollars. When i was looking for some birds she gave me the number of one of the people who brought their and thats where Hannah came from(one of his rejects to become one of my favourites) Jillinda

I weighed her tonight and she was 42g so she is about the right weight. How ever when i weighed Bluebelle she was 37g but she looks the same as when we got her. Both have nice clean bottoms Thanks Jillinda

Thanks again, there is so much to learn. I went out to the aviary for a look and who should be sitting at the feeder eating? Hannah. Looked at all my birds and decided to bring Hannah and Bluebelle inside (bluebelle is looking a bit thin too but she always has). The show breeder that i got them from has a really good and clean aviary but i still went and got some wormer from the vets? will try this. As for the eggfood my birds have been getting seed, fresh veggies and fruit everyday. They have cuttlebone, calcium blocks and fresh gum leaves and branches.I have also been giving them some egg and biscuit mix from the shop and some that i made myself. I think that they eat better than me (Laughing out loud) Is there anything else that i can do? Jillinda
