  1. [Waits for the birds to chew through the nuts and drop seeds out the other end] :hap: NORM!! I thought I had you fooled!!! No worries Libby.. wanna drag??? I have a spare.... [nobody tell her I know which chair goes fastest] Seriously though, there isn't much those birds wouldn't do for some peppermint... they start chattering like crazy as soon as they get a whiff, before they see it coming! Feathers.
  2. I was expecting that from Elly Feathers.
  3. Sariel and Amira... sounds good... It's still cooking!!!!! Feathers.
  4. Oh Norm, I really didn't mean it that way... it was VERY tongue in cheek. I know what it is like trying to get in and out of those small doors... thankfully I only have one of them. Everytime I am at a bird store I look longingly at the big doors and vow I am going to get around to putting one in one day. The dusks are certainly interesting, Norm. I really must visit one day and check out all these rares you have collected. Feathers. ps: my texas clearbody was being very seriously chatted up by a big grey today after the rain, I am seriously thinking of putting them into a breeding cabinet!
  5. Yay!! for Ken being on holidays.... Hey, I bags being in on that celebratory drink!! :fear Feathers.
  6. Hiya Dave, sorry to hear about Milly's chicks... she has been such a good mum. She'll be happy in retirement with Humphrey :hap: Feathers.

Hi Mindless, It's nice to have a forum member from Karachi! Your birds all look fantastic. Good luck with the chicks from your blue/grey spangle pair. I think you should get some nice chicks from that pairing. I'd love to see photos of your other budgies! Thanks for the trip down memory lane, I had to go back and look at the pictures again, you are right, it does! Feathers.

Howdy Kate, welcome back. poor Teni :hap: An inside budgie is great. I have one. What sort of budgie is Cream Puff? Feathers.

Elly, he is just soo gorgeous! Are you going to keep him clipped? Feathers.
  12. Superbird, Miley is very definitely a boy and a gorgeous one at that. He is going to be absolutely stunning after his first moult (not that he isn't already stunning now) Feathers.
  13. I have to pick one??? :hap: :fear Feathers.
  14. Dinner? Somewhere nice?? :hap: And yes, I agree, definitely a hen :fear Feathers.
  15. Feathers replied to JimmyBanks's topic in Aviaries
Hi Jimmy, Don't forget to check out your local "For sale" publications, local papers, sunday papers etc. I picked up this aviary for a couple of hundred dollars... I did have birds in both sides, but after selling quite a few birds I now have breeding cabinets in the smaller right hand section of the aviary, with the flight birds in the left hand side. Ebay throws up some great aviaries now and then too.. Feathers.
  16. Hey Elly, that is so funny, I just answered your post saying that Merlin was "awesome"... SNAP! http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....showtopic=18419 Feathers.
  17. Hiya Elly, soo, soo cute. It sounds like he is saying "hi Bee-bee". Awesome photos of him. His mask justs looks like the softest cotton wool. He is gorgeous! Feathers.

LB, Great photos.. it will be interesting to see if they hatch viable twins... Feathers
  19. Hi all, Well as I can't reach the recently trimmed peppermint tree branches in my area it was time to look further afield. I discovered a lovely bunch of fresh, young peppermint trees next to the foothpath on the way to my hydrotherapy pool. I packed secateurs in my back pack ready for my next trip to the pool. This is the result... Looky, looky, nice young peppermint trees.. Cut nice branches.. Fill up the bag... Tie on the loot... Munch.... (Look carefully, there is a dilute birdy in peppermint heaven) Crunch... Mmmmmmm..... Feathers.
  20. Ummm, I was just thinking.....
  21. Hi all, I figured it was about time that I got a photo or two of my mate Kazumi. He seemed about annoyed about the lack of notice and insisted on getting ready for it. He is nearly finished his first moult and was feeling a little untidy. Photos, again?! Preen over here... Preen over there... Scratch over here.... Fluff those wings.... Itchy over there.... Nearly ready... Streeetch the wings... One last feather... okay! Ready to go!! Feathers.
  22. Nah Norm, Not good enough, mate. We want photos!! I bags being a better cripple than you On a serious side though, I really do hope that your knee problem eases up as it can be very debilitating. Positive healing vibes going your way, Norm. Feathers.
  23. Hiya, How old is Louie?? Isn't this his first moult? Most budgies, male and female will go into breeding condition before they are physically ready for breeding. I'd definitely wait until the next time, if you are considering using him. You also need to male sure that the "young female" you get is old enough too. Feathers.
  24. Kaz, the bub s are looking great. As for Ken with "your" Princess babies... too cute. Ken is looking a bit "bikie-ish" these days, isn't he? Feathers.
  25. Hiya, Kaz and I were chatting names earlier tonight. As Amira means Princess we were toying with a few names meaning Prince (because it sure looks like she has found hers). We narrowed the field a little, so it's now up to Kaz, to pick one of them or another name she likes. I'm getting excited already Feathers.
