yeh, i think ill try alittle bit more in the cage, and then out. im going to see if he will come out of the cage tonight though. also what are you thoughts on using a tape recorder to teach him to talk.

im still wondering if you can leave your budgie out side all the time. though winter and summer.

so you just kept putting your finger infront of him till he just stepped up, and that worked for you.

yeh i was reading other posts, and saw that some of the keets like snow pea sprouts. i think next time im at the store i might try to find some. im also going to try some brocli. once i get him to come out of his cage, im going to put a dish with veggies on top of the cage to act like a treat so he will eat it.(i hope)

well i would say the petey and i are moving along pretty good. i bought some millet last night and put a small piece in his cage. i didnt get the reaction i was hoping for. he really doesnt seem to go crazy for it. i put a small piece in his bird seed, and he just moves it over to get to the seed under it. so far ive got him to step up onto a round swing with me holding it, but he then flys off after a second or two. i left the cage door open this morning while i was sitting by it, and he stood in front of the door like he wanted to come out, but never did. im going to try again tonight when i get off of work. is there anything else i can use as a treat to get him on my finger, since he doesnt like millet that much. or do you think he will start to like millet more and more.

okay. im in the process of taming my keet and im wondering how often yours poos. i know alot of you let your budgies out of there cage for play time and flight time and im sure that they poop all over the place. and when they poop, what have you found that will clean up the mess the best. i have tan carpet, and a toupe couch. thanks in advance matt

so can you keep this birds outside all year round. through the hot and cold.

is that a good mutation, also the cere is more blue than anything. its just my camera isnt that great. i will try to get better pics tonight.

yeh, i thought she was beautiful also. she is very shy right now. ive got her next to the couch and talk to her constantly. she really doesnt move. she will tilt her head like she is listening every once in a while. i got her from a local aquarium shop. they had about 10 to picture from.

well im new here, but have been looking around for about a week. im from st. louis mo, in the US. i am 25, married with a 7 month old daughter. i just got a budgie yesterday. i have a couple of questions for you. male/female? about how old?
