Hi peoples....this is can update of my 2 creaminos and lutino.....they have divorced their parents and are now in the flight cage before they into a lager cage.....they are 10 weeks old and looking good.

Hi Kathyw...I live in Perth and have been buying numbered plastic split rings from Sydney...the store is called Ellenbee.....however I have just ordered 50 coloured and numbered alluminum clip on rings from the U.K. This is only costing me $24...and that includes postage and handling....

You not only make a friend you also can gain other good insights in breeding....aviary set ups....and you are able to pick peoples brains and gain a lot of extra knowledge.....and yes also the ability to buy birds from people you know which is a big plus..... Hi people...here is some updated photos of some chicks coming through..... The greys are 8 1/2 weeks old.... The creaminos and lutino are 4 weeks old.... The violet ones are 3 and a bit weeks old....and the hen bird is Ming....one of Kaz's brood... All are doing fine...one of the greys in particular is quite large and seems to have a good head...well I thinks so anyway.... Hope you enjoy...

Well macka.....I buy budgie breeder mix in 5kg bags....at $12.65 a bag.... this has not changed for 2 years...having said that..they will probably put the price up:(

Norm....youv'e picked up some good birds there.....very nice....what price range are we looking at?

Well 4bugsy....I don't use cod liver oil.....however I do use olive oil and I use it everyday of the year....I have found that the seed we get here in Perth is always very dry....the olive oil puts back the moisture with more protein and helps hens with there egg laying.....

They do have plastic leg rings.......they are green and numbered....I didn't think birds with split rings were allowed in shows......worth persuing though

Creamino is another name for a Yellow face Albino. They are also called YF Ino's. Paul this means your hen is split for blue. I think your Grey's look great. Thanks for that Nerwen Budgielover....they are 7 weeks old....time to separate from mum and dad I think........

Aly....what fantastic photos.........they all look to me to be pretty fine birds...all being spoilt by their owner.... You've got heaps now Aly..... and with the new chicks coming through you'll be a busy girl... Hasn't that yellow faces (Karitz) colour deepened the blue seems darker and the face is a lot brighter....cool.. Thanks Aly for giving us a peak into your aviary....

Well Kaz...I just expected it to be her....the chicks are still quite small..I don't think it's them....well her partner doesn't show any aggression or anything out of the ordinary....he feeds her and things like that... I never here them fighting etc.... Hopefully it is as you say Kaz...just wanting to keep the nest warmer.....but I must say this has just happened and has come out of the blue...

Hi peoples....on checking the breeding cabinets today...I found one of my females (Kaz's Ming) with all her chest feathers gone and only showing skin....she has 3 babies at about 3 1/2 weeks old... What should I do?? Sorry about the focus in the photo...but you can still see what I mean.....

Just about time to drag you along to a budgerigar club meeting then Paul...you have a thing for the larger show type birds :hap: You just might be right about that Kaz....it's tempting
