  10. As far as I know you can't put hooked beeked birds with pointed beek bird because of the damage that a pointed beek bird can do to a budgies. cheers Paul
  11. Just wanting peoples thoughts please. I have 2 breeding cabinets, both have babies about 4-5 weeks old. I don't want the parents to breed again because, for one hen its her second clutch and the other hen its her first clutch. My question is: is it too early to put the parents and babies into flight cages, which are basicly a double breeding cabinet without the nest boxes on each end. Will the parents still feed their babies in the new cages or will it upset the parents too much. The weather is getting a lot warmer these days and nights so the cold shouldn't be a problem. The babies seem to be getting out of the nest boxes by themselves a lot more lately. Your ideas and advice would be much appreciated. Cheers :wine Paul

  20. Hi guys I have these two birds bringing up 3 chicks at the moment. The male is suppose to be a yellow face bluey colour the female is the same colour but is a spangle. The pics don't really show the colours well, they tend to be a turquiose blue green colour. so far 2 of the chicks are the same as the dad, however they seem to have a deeper blue in them. What do you think. Will post pis of chicks soon. Cheers people dad mum and dad

  22. 6 Babies now Karen and all are doing fine; I'm so thrilled. I think puting a division in the nest boxes have made a big difference. They have noticed the change in temperture. They are heaps warmer and when they get bigger and if the weather gets warmer I can take out the dissions, this will give the hens more room for another clutch and make it cooler. Thanks for the piccies of Ming Cheers Paul Thanks for all your replies I will post new pics next week of the chicks. It is exciting waiting to see what colours are coming. Cheers Paul
