  1. Thank's Kaz, Does this mean any chicks would be white faced, but their young could revert to yellow faced? Still trying to get the hang of this. I'm not showing birds as long as it doesn't lessen/weaken the composition of the birds. yes They dont revert to YF though, they hide YF. If means they are double factor YF but dont show that they are YF. A DF YF will produce all YF chicks in its nests as far as I recall.
  2. YF to YF is not advised because you get DF YF which are birds with a white face hiding yellowface.
  3. Check his crop for evidence of eating.

  12. My personal opinion only, but I see no need for chicks to have it...the oils may upset their sensitive digestion. Breeding Aid Ingredients: Vitamin A,Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, Linoleic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Oleic Acid Guaranteed Analysis: Vitamin A 200000 iu/L Vitamin D3 20000 iu/L Vitamin E 410mg/L Linoleic Acid 430g/L Palmitic Acid 52g/L Oleic Acid 11g/L Directions: Mix 20mL of BREEDING AID per 1Kg of seed thoroughly by hand and allow the mixture to sit for 12 to 24 hours to maximise absorption. Linoleic, Palmitic and Oleic Acids are known to increase the size and quality of eggs where a deficiency occurs. Fatty acids are incorporated into many tissues (especially membranes), they are also broken down as an energy supply. Not only does Breeding Aid increase the number of eggs, but when used in combination with Tracemin will improve egg size, shell quality and egg hatchability. Breeding Aid is well regarded for its ability to increase egg production especially in those birds which lay large clutches or which multiple clutch. Adequate Vitamin intake is necessary for normal egg production. Notes: Breeding Aid utilises a specially formulated blend of essential oils, fatty acids and vitamins for breeding birds. It is designed to be mixed with seed to increase egg number, egg size and egg quality. Studies indicate that Breeding Aid should also be used when an increase in male fertility is desired. BUT I could be wrong
  13. Show a picture of the birds...the descriptions sound a little hard to visualise.
  14. Gaza is beating the pants off both of us, but I believe he benched 30-40 birds as well

  17. Very different product matt
  18. More babies .....and some kindie cage babies
  19. You are doing real well yourself Liv I had to remove four babies from a nestbox this morning because the Mum began laying again..... but its okay...they were ready to leave. these two keep going back in the nestbox and the father of the two green series spangle chicks
  20. I just checked the babies and the markings they have are NOT CINNAMON as first thought. Flight feathers coming through on the eldest two are pale pale greyish/neutral like the mothers flight feathers.............making them dilutes I guess. But DEFINITELY NOT cinnamon markings.
  21. He means white lacewings Liv,,,,, he is referring to a white lacewing as a blue based bird.
