  1. Pearce is right. Sometimes they even put wheat in there.
  2. others you may buy. Breeding father to daughter is not a good plan.
  3. I wouldnt breed father to daughter. By the time the baby is old enough you should have more choices.
  4. I so totally agree with this.................. Jailbreak behaviour is worse as they feel trapped seeing all the others flying around, AND the aviary birds climb all over the cages. Hopeless scenario for breeding
  5. Two of Omelette's eldest chicks in a foster nest. and other in their foster nest four other babies in Omelette's nest......she is keeping them naked ( down only ) but their new feathers are coming in so she will stop.
  6. Baby # 1 Baby # 2 Baby # 3 Baby # 4 Baby # 5 I would say THREE greywings and TWO dilutes.
  7. Never mind mate...........computer monitors rarely show things as they really are.
  8. I dont know why you and Shannon are trying to guess at my grey spangles.......they are grey opaline spangles and thats it. No cinnamon and no greywing. :hap:
  9. Pictures are back up and I say HEN :hap:
  10. Whatever you do will be right for you and your budgies. Since you know your backyard and the location and we dont, ............just be guided by your own knowledge of that and common sense. All will be fine. and :hap:
  11. In another place on another forum, it was stated that this bird is moulting. That bird is not moulting...... there are other issues going on there. People who should know better have advised it is a slow moult. There should not be that amount of feather loss on a bird in a moult. I have advised it is taken to a vet for analysis.
  12. You have moved your photobucket pictures and we cant see anything :hap:
  13. **KAZ** replied to renee's topic in Budgie Pictures
Wasnt it used on a show budgie once to disguise or try to disguise flecking ?? do you recall ?
  14. Closing this topic as it has gone off on a tangent...............what battery chickens producing eggs has to do with breeding underaged budgies I do not know. :hap:
  15. Well I use free range eggs and it has nothing to do with Marlons birds.
  16. BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Seems you are right GB
  18. Check the colour on your monitor Shannon they arent cinnamon at all
  19. No........you said they were cinnamonwing spangles...they arent.
  20. Not cinnamonwing spangles.
  21. White down indicates an opaline chick.
  22. Not sure Shannon....... I have lost count. Here is the two eldest of Omelettes babies too...
  23. Triticale wheat and hulled oats are available from stockfeed places. Good news you found some Crop feeding cannot be left to learn till the last minute and not by internet.......it is essential you get your vet to show you how. You may need to know how to feed by crop when a vet isnt available. Best to be shown how now rather than later. Sorry to stress the importance of this but its a valuable skill you will be glad you learnt one day.
