  1. Random pictures of the greywing babies........end result three greywings and two greywing spangles as Nubbly said
  2. You can only get YF if you know is carrying YF. Greens normally have a yellowface but this does not mean they are yellowface budgies.
  3. Pacing is also a result of a bird that has come from a large cage or aviary into a smaller space like a cage. With the vegies try grated and sprinkle some budgie seed across the top.
  4. He won me Best Novice on Sunday

How old is the cock ? Is his cere showing in condition ? Photos please ?
  6. I think you are right....one egg to go.
  7. How old are they ? They look to be very very young.

Wow !! Looks great. You must be ecstatic with your setup now
  9. I had a cock three times the size of the hen once, in my days of other kinds of breeding and they managed a few clutches no probs at all
  10. Are you absolutely sure he is a DF Spangle ? Does he have iris rings and a blue cere ?
  11. Sealing a cracked egg has to be done straight away. Liquid paper is best. If its been dropped like from nestbox or perch chances are its addled. Addled eggs wont hatch. If it has leaked through the crack same thing. An egg thats cracked in a nest and one that will leak with jeoardise the other eggs as they can get stuck to each other or the mothers chest.
  12. Thanks Heaps Nubbly !!!
  13. Welcome Your budgies and your photography is fantastic !!
  14. I agree with Splat..... the ones that have been bleeding are best pulled out. We have instructions on how to pull a blood featherr in our FAQ section.
  15. What a pity about the wings You have a dominant pied female and a creamino or YF ino...female too looks like.
  16. You should be fine putting them all in together. Be very sure you have nothing that resembles a great nesting place ( just in case she likes one of the other boys ). No large food dishes, no snuggle huts etc and you should be fine
  17. If all my babies looked like yours I would be a very very happy girl
  18. 7-10 days after mating is the average for laying an egg, so whats weird about that ?
  19. I would be inclined to keep some baby rice cereal or baby mixed grain cereal on hand if you have no hand rearing mix. Just for emergencies and not long term feeding.
