- Height Of Cabinets From Floor?
Bottom cabinets do get less light and less light means less inclination to breed. Even though Renee raves about her arcadia lighting she still has half the light conditions I have in my birdroom. Floor level isnt good for a few reasons as stated.- Height Of Cabinets From Floor?
I would have mine a minimum of 8-10 inches above floor level. Reason............possible rodents, insects and temperatures from the floor.- Break It To Me Gently
Poor Poor Tony   - Plants In Cage
I agree with Liv. Plants are food to budgies. Will look nice for all of five minutes and then it will be destroyed.- New Baby Dilutes

Most show breeders dont name their budgies - Break It To Me Gently
They are beautiful Liv How old are they now ?- Cage Questions
You didnt say the size, but that cage looks like a breeder cage size........maybe 2 ft wide ? It looks fine for one budgie. You will want to have your perches running from front to back and set each side of the cage so he can fly across the cage. Paper in the bottom is good and you can change that regularly. GRIT paper is NOT a good idea.- Well And Truly Plucked
Foster parents have been feeding these babies as well as their own- The New Greywings from the PRBS Auction
Ken Seagrott greywing cock Ken Seagrott greywing hen ( 10 months old ) Dave Ganzer greywing hen more tomorrow- The New Greywings from the PRBS Auction
I have the birds. They are all greywings which I was after. I took some random photos in the holding cage while they settled and ate, but I may not have pictures of all of them. I wont chase them around a cage and put them into a showcage for photos until they have settled a bit. Maybe tomorrow. Pairings will wait for awhile..........they will be in quarantine.- Ivermectin
- Well And Truly Plucked
I dont know. She was bought in some months ago.- Well And Truly Plucked
A pair of grey greens I had down breeding surprised me with producing a blue chick. There was only two chicks, a green and a blue in that nest. They also had a foster chick a green opaline ( a grand child of Omelette's ). Checked them last night to find the mother with blood on her face and all three chicks well and truly plucked........head shoulders and back.......and two of them bleeding from the back of the neck. I immediately fostered them to another nestbox where two foster parents got in and warmed them for the night. Chicks are well today. Last night they were screaming anytime either I or foster parents went near them but today they have calmed down. Fingers crossed- New Baby Dilutes
They are really nice Nubbly Gonna be real lookers when they grow some- Help With Currawongs
Bird netting as an outer wall set further out from your aviary mesh ? Available from all good hardware stores.- Cider Vinegar

Good job Shannon PS Hint..........put a block of wood between the nestbox and cage ...where that nestbox is not level. The block of wood will level it out.- Need You Help/advice
Females are notorious for fighting over possession of perch space more than anything. Especially the high up perches and especially at evening settling down time. A photo if you can manage one would help us to advise you and maybe just a simple change of cage arrangements will help solve this problem.- Greywing To Dilute ? Pairing
Yeah...its a real cute look- New member with Problem
That cage is fine for sitting on perches or sidling along them but it doesnt allow flight for a budgie. Wider rather than taller is right for a budgie. Click here for an article on cages............... http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....showtopic=17858 Unfortunately there is so much bad advice out there related to an appropriate type of cage for each bird species.....and petshops are notorious for bad advice re cages.- Pairing One
The other chick seems to be colouring up the same. Eldest chick again just for you GB - Height Of Cabinets From Floor?
