  2. No, they do not contain that here. On the other hand chicken mash and crumbles does.
  3. Try and remember when putting birds in an aviary to NOT put any young birds ( under 12 months ) in an aviary with any nestboxes in there :rofl:
  4. She's a bit thin. I crop fed her too with some calcivet for glucose and egg powder for energy. Leaving her foot alone for the moment. Will clean and dress it later.
  5. She is a crippled budgie, one of my duds, a runt of a litter so to speak. She has escaped permanent culling a few times. I thought I would let her in there and see how she went. I dont think she eats very well either. So, whatever will be will be with this one. But I will care for her as best I can. Anyone know how to clean the blood off the concrete ?
  6. both in a kindie cage with my newly won syndicate baby ( Gearing/watson cinn spangle cock baby )
  7. Found the blood trail :rofl: couldnt find the budgie that was hurt. Eventually I found her...she is one of my ground dwellers and has an injured foot.......possible loss of much of one toe. Suspect bitten by another budgie. I will let her rest for a little while before I bathe and investigate the wound as she most likely will bleed some more and she needs to get over the shock.

  10. Sex is ambiguous...a lot of photos posted in your other topic show white on the cere which indicates female, BUT did you use a flash on your camera as that throws out colours especially cere colours ? Is there white on the cere at all ?
  11. Recessive pied yes...cinnamon ...no I dont think so, or the wings would have brown markings. The wing markings are grey and so is the tail. Seems to be carrying greywing. Recessive pied greywing. Sex is ambiguous...a lot of photos show white on the cere which indicates female, BUT did you use a flash on your camera as that throws out colours especially cere colours ? 13. Jasper is a good name ...my friends ragdoll cat is called Jasper. Xmas names.... Santa Frosty ( the snowman ) Rudolph ( Rudy )
  14. How exciting Any names in mind ?
  15. In my personal opinion people often have far too much faith in cuttlebones and calcium blocks as far as conditioning or shaping beaks goes. You are far better offering safe and chewable branches in a cage than expecting results from cuttlebones or calcium blocks. :rofl:
  16. Looking good Liv :rofl:
  17. :rofl::rofl:
  18. I use a tablespoon to a large icecream container of softfood mix.
  19. Nothings changed...they are still going through a bowl a day of the pellets and I am buying it on a regular basis now...$2.70 for 2 kilos. No poopy bottoms, no scouring, no illness. Renee, how are yours going on it ?
  20. First chick to this pair tried to hatch during the really hot weather yesterday and only ended up opening part of his egg, I opened the egg this morning as he had begun to dry and wasnt moving much. I think he will die. He is out of energy after his unusual attempt at hatching on the hot day. He is all stiff and doesnt seem to be able to uncurl his neck from its position in the egg More eggs to hatch. These guys gave up on their eggs and threw them out, including ones with live chicks in So they will go into the flights tomorrow.
  21. Yes...I took some just now

  23. keeping men out of mischief with these little jobs is a good thing birds delivered to airport safely. Liv and kids delivered to airport safely, minus two items left behind accidentally.................. NO...it wasnt the kids !! :D :rofl: :rofl:
  24. Are you aware that megabacteria is a secondary disease that kicks in only after they have been affected by another primary disease ? An analogy is......Its kind of like having HIV and then fullblown AIDS takes over.
  25. 168. When a hot day doesnt mean a day going to the beach, but staying home trying to keep the birds cool and comfortable.
