  1. We often hear about washing down our aviary wire when new with a solution of vinegar and water to "neutralise"the zinc coating on the wire. What isnt usually mentioned is, it is a process we must repeat constantly, and even then we may not be solving the issues. Some good quality reading to enlighten us about zinc toxicity is here in these articles. http://www.exoticpetvet.net/avian/zinc.html http://www.theparrotsocietyuk.org/index.php/Zinc/109 http://www.multiscope.com/hotspot/metals.htm http://www.birdsnways.com/wisdom/ww14eiii.htm http://www.avianweb.com/heavymetalpoisoningbirds.html

  11. Just wondering Richo......WHY exactly you think he may be a show budgie cull ? R E A D the topic I have....but he does not resemble a show budgie at all, not even a cull.

  16. Suggest you move this aviary far right ( forward towards your house ) Leaving the safety door of this one in a corner position...then mark out lines taking the "future" aviary bird room around the corner. Try it while you can and see how it looks this way.
  17. You will pay $1-$2 each from garage sale, swap meets or second hand shops for those. Thanks Clearwing.....most of them are young. I am looking forward to seeing them grow on.
